If I could give this place a 0 I would, 1 star is too good for them. On January 1st of this year my…read moreson took his life! In December he went to the Serenity Mental health center in Layton they gave him 3 medications with just seeing him once! We had found out from his wife they had told him to see how they made him feel and to give them a call if there was a problem! Who does that! Who prescribes 3 medications all at once and he was already on seizure medication! Then after he passed we found out he had cancelled his follow up appointments and no one there thought to reach out to someone to see if he was alright when he cancelled! They saw him in December and on January 1st he was dead, he took his life, he was 23 years old with a wife and baby! This place was no help and has no business being in the mental health field! They are only in the business of helping Big Pharm with pushing multiple medications without knowing how anyone will react to the drugs they are pushing!

So I started Clinical consultants about 5 years ago..... when I started I was severely addicted to…read morepain pills and needed help getting of them... they were referred by my new pain clinic so I thought why not try.... the pain pills were deciding my whole life I felt as though I couldn't do anything without the pills and I'd never get off....but now 5 years down the road I couldn't imagine ever getting back on any substance that controls my life.....I got off the pills and have not looked back... The thing I really like about clinical is that it's not just a program where everyone has to do the same programs but they taylor your program to what you need to get off the substance your on.... the people in your groups and the counselors don't judge you they try to help you... If you go in really wanting the help and listen to what they say you will get the help you need, don't be afraid to put your all into it! CJ is my one in one counselor and she is so knowledgeable. She knows how to work with you how to get the program to work for you. She cares so much for each person she just really wants this to work for everyone....I remember 2 years ago when my father was sick and dying of his second round of cancer she said that I could leave an e-mail if I needed to talk to her even if it was her day off... and what do you know he died on her day off and I let CJ know and she called to check on my to make sure that I was OK. She went beyond and above to make sure that I wouldn't go back to drugs to escape my pain... for that I will ne forever grateful!

There are quite a few negative reviews that may lead you to have misconceptions of what solstice…read moreoffers. I came into the experience with fear, anger and pain. I hated that my parents were sending me to somewhere I knew only horrible things about. I had only hatred to the place when I went in. However as I began to see what was going around me and the ways that the program let me be whoever i wanted to be i began to see their vision. Now there are hardships that come with treatment, theres no questions to that, and solstice had its moments for sure. But what you have to realize it is a place of what you make it be. My experience in the beginning was horrible because I fought the program i did not want to get better, but even then they held my hand through all of it. as i realized what there intentions were i found it in myself to let them help me heal. I trusted the staff more and more. The therapists are incredible and they are there for whatever you have to bring them. Some might say your going to be there for a year or more but the key is if you let them help you instead if fight agaist them you could be getting our in under 6 months like me. the program is incredible and yes it still has work and growth that would make it even better but it is something I will forever be grateful for. If you are a parent looking to send you child here, i recommend with every good part in me. your daughter deserves a chance to find herself and thrive in a world that maybe wasn't built for her and solstice provides a way that you can make your own and take it with you for the rest of your life. this is my experience and i hope that you could provide you child with the same, however each kids perspective is different. Solstice is the best place to become a new you and break way from the patterns of the past.

A staff killed himself because he dated one of the girls that was actively in the program. They chose bad ice cream for ice cream nights no good movies for movie night one time the staff tried to get Me to hit his cart (a card means weed for the millennials reading this) the staff members would let us chief their vapes all the staff members had weird relationships with us kids. Jokes aside it was very emotionally abusive. And if you send your kid here you don't love your kid. My therapist made jokes of sexual assault all the time. But they would take us to Menchie's, which was super nice.
