Be careful not to overdo it on the homemade, pizza-style pitta bread with your starters - it's sooo good but very filling! (Cooked in a wood oven!) For the main course I had the youvetsi (beef with pasta) and my husband had the soutsoukakia (kind of like meatballs in a tomato sauce) - both absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. They even let me practice my Greek on them!! Once someone noticed I was standing with my baby I was eventually brought one. I ordered one set meal for myself at 7.95 and one set meal for my daughter at 4.95 the starters were ok but I did not enjoy my main which was Mash with beef and gravy, the mash was very lumpy, the gravy was too salty and the beef tasted very cheep. Once we got to the dessert I ordered a coffee for myself and a vanilla ice cream for my daughter the lady came back and said there was no vanilla ice cream, I said that's fine just give her chocolate, she came back again and said the was no ice cream at all and the delivery would be 15+ mins I didn't have that long to wait so I said just give her something else and include it in the set meal, she went to ask the manager, and some horrible man came asking what my problem was, I explained I didn't have time to wait, he refused me another dessert. Ok so can you take £1 off the bill then? No! He point blank refused it all and said "if you want the dessert you will have to wait for the ice cream to be delivered" I just felt like crying in front of my kids after the way he spoke. Oh and to top it all off I was brought some custard that tasted like coffee as my dessert, rather than a cup coffee I didn't even complain about that because I wanted to get out of there with my kids, and fast!!!

The staff there are really friendly and very accommodating we've celebrated a few birthdays there and they have helped us organise surprises. The menu is very varied, not just sticking to the bog standard pizzas and pastas, they branch out into other more interesting dishes, their specialities include roasted monkfish with grilled lettuce, red pepper relish and polenta. Porchetta, a Tuscan-style pork roast with fennel, herbs and garlic, and Tuscan braised beef. I'm a big fan of the pizzas here though. Menu prices are about average for an Italian restaurant and they do also have happy hours. The décor inside is great, very rustic and cozy. A great place to dine.
