The price for a 2 hour clay class honestly felt like a steal. Bree taught us all the basics- how to wedge clay and roll out a slab with the slab roller machine, how to slip and score, how to work with porcelain clay vs. stoneware clay- it was AMAZING how much she was able to fit into 2 hours, and she did it without rushing. She was patient and explained things very well, and gave a lovely tour of the entire studio. Plus, her dog is adorable and well behaved! I can honestly say that this is one of the best values for your time and money, and with the options to come back and choose a more advanced class if you think that you're ready to try something more difficult. This is definitely a hidden gem- support a local business and spark your creativity here! It's SO worth it!

I rarely write reviews, but felt it necessary to share our experience with Snow Farm Art Camp in…read morethe hopes that it may help other families make an informed decision. The pickup process at the end of camp was especially disappointing. There was no greeting or acknowledgment from staff, no effort to personally connect with parents, and no discussion whatsoever about the campers' experience or their artwork. It felt disorganized and impersonal. The "gallery walk," which should have been a proud moment, was chaotic and lacked any structure or explanation. We actually didn't know who was a camper or who was an instructor. We were left to wander through the space without context or guidance, which made it hard to fully appreciate what the kids had spent nearly two weeks creating. Socially, the experience was incredibly isolating for my daughter and her friend. Despite being there for 12 days, they struggled to make connections with other campers. It became painfully clear that they were the only ones not from private schools, and unfortunately, they were made to feel like outsiders because of it. The environment was very cliquey, and there seemed to be little to no staff intervention to help bridge those social divides. Had my daughter not had her one friend from home with her, I likely would have brought her home early. There was very little downtime or effort from counselors to create a sense of community. Days were packed with studio time and started extremely early, leaving kids exhausted and with few opportunities to relax or socialize. Team-building activities or any sort of group bonding could have made a huge difference, but those were noticeably absent. Additionally, some of the camp rules were concerning and poorly communicated. One that stood out was the bizarre rule that campers couldn't enter each other's rooms because the staff would "assume they were having sex." For a teen art camp, this kind of messaging felt inappropriate and unnecessarily harsh. To be fair, my daughter enjoyed the off-campus trips and said the food was great. But overall, this was a very expensive camp experience where she felt left out, unwelcomed, and disconnected, despite doing something she truly loves. That is not acceptable. Camp should be a place where kids feel encouraged, supported, and inspired, not judged or excluded. This was a one and done experience for us. We will not be returning, and I would caution other families to look closely at what kind of environment Snow Farm is really fostering.

I booked a 2 hr Private Glassblowing session, and YES, it is worth the money. First, Mark set up the appointment and was very accommodating throughout the whole thing. Dan was our guide and instructor. He was AMAZING!! Both of us had almost no, or no experience at all with this, and it is such a detailed process with many steps, but Dan reviewed it with us ahead of time, and guided us appropriately the whole way. He loosened his guiding hold when he could sense we had it, or put an extra hand on when he knew we didn't, haha. He even let us go into it with novel ideas, and really let us explore. In the end, our vessels came out absolutely beautiful. Similar, but different in subtle ways. The perfect pairing for us two as partners in love. Thank you so much for this special, unique, unusual, and transformative experience. We would love the opportunity to go again sometime.

He welcomed me into the class and quickly caught me up (super appreciated). The class was informative, easy paced and no pressure. If you need a hype man, even if the piece isn't showroom worthy, Mark is your dude! Complimented each student, offered soft helping pointers, and even went hands on to help save some pieces. Already would love to take another class or start using their rental times to use the skills already taught! For $85, all materials included and two hours. Totally worth it.

I am honored to be the first to give this 5-star establishment a review. According to the owner,…read moreit's been around for a couple of years so I'm surprised that it hasn't had a review yet. I think it might be because the location of it is not easy to find. It's behind a small shopping strip. Even the directions that Yelp has on here is confusing when you put it on the GPS it'll take you to the strip but then you have to make sure to drive around the back. I've been doing pottery for close to a year back home, but when I came to visit family, they expressed a desire to do something pottery related and so I came on here to Yelp and found out about Ceramic Studio. It's a small place. Immediately when you walk in, you'll see loads of ceramics that are available for glazing/painting. It ranges from as cheap as $5. What I like most about this place is that the price you see on the ceramic piece is the final price (not including of course tax and if you use credit card you'll be charged $2) I've been to other ceramic painting places and if you use glazes like the jungle gems, that's extra or you'll get an extra firing fee. They don't do that here, and I appreciate that. There's two rooms. One where walk-ins can come and paint, and another for if you book a party. When I was there, I felt like I was at a family members house. It's hard to describe. It's just really laid back and comfortable. They use a white bodied clay, and the glazes you can choose from are Mayco brand. I use Mayco when I do my pottery pieces and it's a good brand. I like that they have a chart with sample pieces of what they can come out looking like after firing. When you're new to glazing, a lot of times you don't realize that the paint color you use comes out looking totally different after firing, and they do a good job of letting you know what you can expect. You can see our before and after pics that I posted on here to get an idea. Overall, this spot is very affordable, felt right at home and if I lived in this area I'd probably be there all the time.

Plenty to challenge older / more experienced kids, but also moving at a pace the younger crowd can keep up with. Last year, her favorites were kayaking and caving. This year, raft-building and caving. She starts each day excited for a new adventure, and comes home worn out and so full of stories. The guides have all been fantastic - knowledgeable about the trails, history, and environmental topics; good at setting expectations about the day's activities and rules; and great with kids of varying abilities. Caving may be the best thing about this program. Our family hikes & paddles regularly, but caving is best done with a guide who's done the cave before and can set expectations realistically. When our daughter comes back from the caving days, her clothes are wet and filthy, she tells stories about impossibly narrow and tight passages, and she grins the whole time. It's such a great experience and has really expanded her enjoyment of our outdoor adventures. My only request is that the guides would give parents a list of where they went, complete with recommended parking and recommended routes - so we can try these things too! Well, except the caving. I'd want a guide for that!

You could…read moresee quite a few of the class were tentative as they entered the cave but once they got inside all of there faces lit up as they began to explore. Our guides were Anna and Benjamin and both were great with the kids. They told us stories and taught us all some facts about how the caves were formed, what was down there, and how they would look in the future. We explored some of the larger areas of the cave and also some of the tighter passages. It was peaceful, challenging, meditative, and fun. It's also worth noting the care Anna and Benjamin took to make sure that everyone had a pleasurable and safe experience. They were supportive to push us to get a little outside of our comfort zones but were equally supportive and attentive if someone felt they had reached their limit. It's been two days and the class is still talking about the trip. I plan to get as many of the kids and parents together to do this again some time in the near future. I do not have enough words to express the gratitude I feel for this experience.
