I read many of the reviews and perused the photos of the different fence projects they had done, and I was impressed with their work. I contacted the company and got a quick response from Miguel, the owner, to set up an appointment for an estimate. After meeting with Miguel, I gave him an idea of what I had in mind, and he took accurate measurements of my property. Miguel gave me estimates on the use of different materials: wood, aluminum, galvanized steel and vinyl. After giving Miguel a budget I could work with, he presented me the options of using natural premium redwood (stained and sealed) with powder coated galvanized steel posts. Miguel was very easy to work with, and I like how he offered his input to further enhance my vision of what I wanted. Miguel is very efficient, along with his coworker, and he takes great pride in providing a quality product. He always kept me in the loop regarding each work phase, and was quick to address any of my questions. Best Gates and Fencing does not rush their jobs. For my project, they work in phases, and it was great to see my fence project come to life, so to speak. In the end, I was extremely in awe of the transformation Best Gates and Fencing provided. Cano Ironworks was subcontracted on a concrete and masonry job, but they deserve their own review…read more The project was the installation of a 3.5 foot iron gate. It was not an easy installation, since the masonry wall surface it would attach to was not quite vertical. The supporting iron had to be channeled into the masonry to provide a proper vertical installation. Cano was up to this task, and the installed gate is vertical, swings freely, and latches securely. The amount of care taken for this installation is very .appreciated. The final product is beautiful and functional. As a side note, Oscar fixed a malfunctioning gate on the other side of my house without being asked. You need a gate? Metalwork of any kind? I recommend Cano.

(The actual construction work only took a few days. There was a delay in the delivery of some of the hardware needed for him to finish the job.) Gilbert and his crew did an excellent job and were easy to work with, even adapting fluidly to some changes that we made after the process already was underway. The gates and the fencing were built in a board-on-board design that turned out to be even more attractive than we had anticipated it would be. The gates were particularly well fabricated both in their appearance and in the sturdiness of the metal support structure which should prevent the gate sag that so often occurs after a few years. Because of the thickness of the gate door (due to a design change that we requested) we needed to purchase special hardware for the handle and latch. Gilbert worked with us and the vendor to ensure that we purchased the handles with the correct specifications for the purpose. Throughout the entire process, Gilbert and his crew were friendly, helpful, and easily reachable when we had questions or concerns. We may have some additional fencing replacement done along the back of our property in the next year or two. If we decide to go ahead with that project, GC Fence is the first company that we we call for a quote.

His price quoted was also very reasonable in comparison to the 4 other quotes I received. We are very satisfied customers. I did also ask him to restore a small table with iron legs that had rusted over the years. It has a lot of sentimental value & pleased with the end result.. Unfortunately, a couple weeks after restoring the iron rail, it was damaged when we had a tree pulled next to it. I reached out to Jose and he came out asap to fix it. He basically redid the entire finishing process to make sure the rail would be smooth and even. I didn't expect him to redo it completely. I assumed it would just be touched up in the spots that needed fixing. He refused payment for the repairs even though the damage was our fault.
