I financed a car through GMc who, in turn, sold the loan to Ameris bank. I set up monthly drafts through Ameris and was never even one day late with the payment bc THEY drafted it. So, I paid my vehicle off in mid august 2022. The have continued to draft my bak for $525 each month after the vehicle has been paid off and have not refunded my money due to numerous calls over the last two months but here's the real kicker, they supposedly mailed my title via usps (not registered or certified) on Sept 22nd. It's Oct 26 and I never received the title! I've also called twice about this. Today I was told that's MY PROBLEM once they put it in the mail! How the heck can I track down a supposedly mailed piece of paper that could be anywhere in the United States or abroad with no tracking number ?! Then, I was told that I could further, take a day off of work to visit the DMV and PAY to have them research the issue and give me a new title (which I also have to PAY for)!! As of now, they owe me $525 and the title for a $53,000 vehicle that I can't even prove that I own! The customer service supervisor also informed me that I could not talk directly to the loan or title department because they did not take phone calls directly from customers! That's some shady stuff going on at a bank that will not take phone calls directly from customers! And did I mention, that the customer service representatives are working from home and you can hear their televisions, radios and children in the background, while you're trying to find out where your money and your title to your vehicle are! This so called "bank" is a total joke! Please don't use them for any of your banking needs! read more
