When I called back today to book the appointment, I am told that the spot is no longer available and they cannot do that in their system. They actually got her there early. Drivers were helpful and kind. For anyone not familiar with these services, FYI, the driver does not stay during round trip rides. They drop you off. I called to schedule a pickup and the individual who answered the phone didn't identify that I was actually calling the transportation company. I had to ask if I had called the right number. When, I indicated I needed a stretcher pickup, I was told that they don't do stretcher pickups. I pointed out that they listed it as one of the services they provided on their website. He said, yeah but we don't do it. I asked then why don't you remove it from your website, so you can stop wasting people's valuable time with having to place unnecessary phone calls? Silence. Basically, what I have been finding with most of these so-called Medical transportation companies in this area is basically, that they really are only equipped and want to just handle wheelchair pickups. Good luck finding a company who has the ability to execute a stretcher pickup and transport. Unfortunately, I definitely could not recommend AD Medical Transport based solely on two things. The first, is the misrepresentation of the services they provide. Second, is the lackadaisical and unprofessional manner in which my call to them was handled. That's the attitude that doesn't give me much confidence they could handle the job in a professional manner with paying attention to the detail by providing courteous-caring professional transportation of a loved one.
