I moved to Florida from Pennsylvania a few years ago to take care of my elderly mother. I kept my auto insurance with my carrier from PA. I eventually located my mother's condo insurance which had been with these folks for over twenty years! Let me say that again, twenty years! I paid the annual premium for three or four years before I got around to shopping it. OMG, what a shock! I quickly discovered that their were numerous carriers, several of higher quality, that would insure us for much less $$! But wait, it gets worse. After a little bit of research, I discovered that these folks were writing business with some of those less expensive and higher quality carriers! Needless to say, I moved our condo insurance and saved over $300 annually for the same coverage. Avon Park is known for its high percentage of retirees like my mother. Many of these senior citizens don't have the ability and/or faculties to shop insurance like they should. I have an uncomfortable feeling that my mother was paying an unnecessarily high premium for a very long time. That uncomfortable feeling drives me to say two stars!

That being said if you are just leaving it up to paying the bill each time it renews that would be on you to make sure you are getting the best rate every time. I'm sure they have a huge customer base and it would be impossible to check on each one at renewal every time for every single person. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company by phone, I have not received any return calls or updates, and the refund has still not been issued. My intention is simply to receive the refund I am owed and to encourage better communication and accountability for customers who rely on this company for important services. I am asking Bi‑Rite Insurance to resolve this matter promptly and provide the refund that is due. I also hope that by sharing my experience, others who may be facing similar issues feel supported and encouraged to speak up. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this.
