If you are under 34 years old you have to take a boating test (which was pretty easy) before riding. The online platform was very easy to use to take the test and sign the documents (everything gets emailed to you). Alex guided us through the channels into the ocean where we got to ride as fast as we wanted. Alex was very great at directing us & keeping us away from the other boats while also explaining the rules/how tos before we started riding. The jet skis, the communication, and the customer service was great! We will deff be using this company again in the future! Ps they also will accommodate Groupon prices- just call them and let them know & you can book directly through them instead of using Groupon!

There was a Groupon deal online promising one hour jet-ski rentals for 2 people for an hour for $240 so I called him instead saying I'd rather pay HIM the $240 since Groupon takes a cut. I wanted to help his "business" since times are tough right now and he sounded appreciative of this. Upon getting there, another pair showed who wanted to pay cash, and while handing it to Alex he said "hey put that down I'm not allowed to take money in the park" which was very interesting but I just went with it anyways... About 5 minutes later, we get some basic training about how to start up and use the jet-skis and then a guide takes us out of the no wake zone (which takes about 20 minutes each way) so your 1 hour rental is more like 15 minutes of actual throttle time. The area you get to play in is extremely choppy since it's in the ocean, which was fine, but after landing my very first jump the bumper of my jet-ski came loose and so I immediately let the guide know for him to say "WHAT DID YOU HIT?" I didn't hit anything, I used the machine just like everyone else was and it was obviously previously damaged and terribly repaired with gorilla glue. We only got to do actual riding in the ocean for about 15 minutes until the guide said "okay, time to go" and started guiding us back through another 20 minute "no wake zone". Also, I checked my phone and we got back 5 minutes early. After docking my machine, I spoke with Alex and he said he wasn't going to return my security deposit since I damaged his jet-ski. I asked why it was so easy to damage it when I was using it as instructed and he said that I wasn't supposed to be jumping the waves (on a wave runner?) however this was never apart of the training. Also the repair of the bumper definitely isn't $300. On top of that, it's a $150 PER JET SKI deposit so he should have only kept $150 if anything. I pleaded my case to him and he literally walked away from me mid sentence to help the next group that had arrived. I just thought this whole experience was so weird, I really don't care about the $520 he made me pay I just wanted to know what the hell was going on, like something just didn't feel right. After getting home I did some research including a background check and here's what I found... 1. The owners name is Alex Castro (36 years old) and has over 30 criminal records including grand theft auto and burglary. 2. His so called "business" is not even a registered business in the state of Florida. You can verify this on SunBiz.net, Florida's official business registry. 3. You are not allowed to run a business out of Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park which is why he was telling the other group to be careful while handing him the cash. I will have my lawyer reach out to him since I have his address and phone number as well from running a background check on him. Just be careful since this is not a legit business and is run by a complete douche bag. TL;DR: ALEX CASTRO (OWNER) WILL GIVE YOU AN ALREADY DAMAGED JETSKI IN ORDER TO KEEP YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT!! THIS IS NOT A LEGIT BUSINESS PER SUNBIZ.ORG! YOUR 1 HOUR RENTAL IS ACTUALLY ONLY 15 MINUTES! He gave us proper instruction on how to use the jet skis and what to do if we fell in the water. Each of us were provided with life jackets. Because we started off in the canal we were able to get comfortable on the jet skis before heading out to the ocean. Once in the ocean we were able to open the throttle and feel the speed. The early morning tour was a great option because the waters were calm. This tour had a balanced mix of faster speeds and also slower idle speeds in the canals which allowed for seeing all the sights. This tour started in Pompano Beach, came back around to Lighthouse Point down the ocean to Fort Lauderdale and back up through the canal. I was surprised at how long we were on the skis - for about 2.5 hours. We were satisfied with the timing but you'd also want to make sure you have proper sun protection. I also liked that the office KC Jet Ski is operated from had little extras to buy in case something was forgotten - waterproof phone cases, sunglass straps, sunglasses, etc. This was an awesome experience. The place is Family owned and operated. When I asked about the bad reviews from a year ago Luke, the owner told me he used to rent out space to another Jet Ski rental company that had old and abused equipment and they didn't take care of their customers. Unfortunately Atlantic received all of their bad reviews. The ski we took out was no more than two years old and in great condition. We got a quick lesson and off we went. It was quick, easy and we had a great time. I would definitely rent from them again. P.S - they also have a fleet of 8 boats of varying sizes you can rent as well.

We met Dominic at the Pioneer Park- boat ramps in Deerfield Beach. Please note that this location is different than the address on the Yelp review since we were a bit confused ourselves. We started off slow getting used to the jet skis and also admiring the beautiful homes on the intercoastal. Then for about 30-45 minutes we got to go as fast as we could zipping over massive waves and holding on for dear life. I thought we were speed demons, but my thrill seeking daughter kept yelling at me that I wasn't going fast enough. My 9 year old son did fall off the back of my husband's jet ski, but he claimed that was the most fun part of the excursion. .And Dominic was nearby the entire time to help out in these situations and more, but overall we felt very safe. 1.5 hours was perfect and everyone had a great time. They quickly set us up with the last front row cabana and with hourly jet skis - they even gave us a discount on the cabana and second jet ski since I had added it after my credit card receipt had printed. They're equipment looked and operated like it was brand new and real important: they didn't laugh or choke when I.... 'had difficulty' (I fell in and SANK!) getting on the back of the jet ski despite the lil waves and having assistance (their mamas raised them well!). We had a party of 8, although only 6 of us rode the jet skis. We paid less than their normal $110/hr per jet ski and $19/day cabana rental thanks to their hookup. They also took 5 of our party romping around on the banana boat for about a half hour at no charge, although that may be due to their interest in my 21yr old niece - she's a hottie (they enjoyed watchin her pose for some pictures mounting the jet ski)! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because, although they're in a great location, there isn't any close parking access (that sand was burning hot!!) - we parked at a park in metered parking on 16th Street 2 blocks north of their location and walked down the beach to get to them (which was a wonderful workout for the feet and legs!). Also, my brother said jet ski rentals are less expensive more south on the beach where there is easier access (this location is behind quite a few resorts although they are not affiliated with any of them). If you don't know what Flyboarding is, then just search YouTube for some amazing videos. I first saw Flyboard South Florida when I was passing by the Hillsboro Inlet and the Hillsboro Lighthouse and saw that they had a pontoon boat anchored in the cove and had some people on the flyboard that mesmerized me - try to imagine the movie Ironman, but flying over water. What I really liked about Flyboard South Florida was how convenient it was to book with them and how professional their two guides were. You park at the South Florida Diving Headquarters (look for the large red dive flag), sign a bunch of waivers (as in you can die doing this activity) and you hop on a small 20 foot pontoon boat and head out for a 5 minute ride to the cove near the Hillsboro Lighthouse. The water in the cove is about 15 feet deep and crystal clear and because I was there midweek, there were no other boats in the area. After a few brief instructions, getting fitted with a helmet and life vest, you slip on the flyboard and hop into to water. I would describe the Flyboard as a bulky snowboard attached to a firehose that is attached to a Jetski. The power is controlled by a guide on the Jetski as the Flyboard is attached to the exhaust of the Jetski and he gives you some instructions and he gently gives you just enough propulsion to move you around like a fish. When you start to feel comfortable, you simply try to stand straight, with your legs straight down in the water and he hits the gas to give you much more propulsion to magically lift you out of the water. The experience is exhilarating. I was able to get up on the first try, but I have years of skateboarding, surfing, skiing, snowboarding experience and was glad I had those skills. It was not too difficult to fly, but if you lean too hard in any direction, you move very quickly and falls are frequent, but fun. The surprising thing to me was how much of a workout this is and after about 10 minutes I was completely exhausted and had to take a break.There were only two other people in the boat with me, so I was able to take a rest on the boat, have a cold drink and rest under the canopy. This is definitely one activity that I highly recommend to people looking for a new, fun, exciting, and interesting activity and it was worth the relatively high price. Make sure to take some friends, your cameras, and a GoPro if you have one. The ride through the inter coastal was relaxing and we learned who owns some of the ridiculous mansions we saw. Before you get to the ocean, you'll get your life jacket and harness on and once you hit the ocean, hang on! I enjoyed the boat ride just as much as parasailing! Speaking of, sailing was awesome. Great views and it hardly feels like you are moving when you're so high up. Overall, great experience. Only after did my husband tell me he is scared of heights! Highly recommend.

I guess he was wrong about needing a reservation. So we ended up here on the recommendation from a friendly parking liaison. All of the guys at Ft. Lauderdale Parasail were really friendly and outgoing. They made us feel welcome and they really took care of us! The overall experience was so much better han we could hope for. The way it works is you start off on the taking the skis out with a guide on intercostal and since there's a speed limit, it takes about 10-15 mins to get to the open ocean where you can really open those baby's up. Initially I wasn't stoked about this idea but It's actually pretty cool because you get a nice tour while you cruise for the first few mins while getting used to the jet skis so by the time you get to the ocean you're ready for all out throttle. Plus the intercostal is a really nice sight. Again my appreciation goes out to Dan and George, who really exceeded my expectations and saved what started out as a complete nightmare.
