Morningstar completely lost my trust when they charged us for "cosmetic damage" to the boat. We didn't run into other boats. We didn't have trouble docking. We had a sober captain the whole time.. They charged us for pulling the boat up onto a sandy beach. No damage to the boat or motor, just some sand on the toons. Total fiasco trying to get our deposit back. Horrible communication. Will never go back.

However, it ended up a disaster due to credit card holds and fines.... When we arrived back to the Marina, we were told that a GPS had sensed we were too close to the beach and they would need to do a full inspection of the boat. A $2000 hold was put on our credit card, for what seemed like forever!! The problem? The boats already had heavy wear and tear prior to our using them (they looked pretty old). There were no pictures or pre-inspection done with the party, so I question how they know what party caused the damage. When I asked the manager for any proof the damage was caused by our party, he said something along the lines of "We just know, we looked before". The boat is taken it multiple times a week and we were very cautious about keeping the boat damage-free (raising the trim, using buoys etc.,). My question for Morning "one"star... Did going too close to the beach cause the radio to break as well? (it was never working from the start) based on their logic we should replace that too. In the end we were charged a hefty fine with no real way to do anything about it. Part of me wonders if it was because we were all in our mid-20s and easy targets, hmmmm. Skip Morning-one-star marina and rent somewhere else

The whole experience from beginning to end was great. Highly recommend. Tina Marie We purchased our pontoon from Foothills Marie of Lake Norman and could not be more pleased with the outstanding service and value in all departments. My wife and I visited several boat dealers in the Lake Norman area and settled here at Foothill Marine. We were greeted by a pleasant attentive staff and a very clean show room. My wife and I would like to thank ED in sales who took great care of us right from the start. Ed is extremely knowledgeable in explaining all of the differences of several models and layouts. He made sure that all of our questions were answered. Foothills Hills Marie has a wide selection of boats to choose from and made our experience a pleasure, no pushy sales pitches whatsoever. They delivered our pontoon in perfect order as promised. ED went over the entire pontoon prior to us heading out. We had a GPS/fishfinder installed as well as the second battery prior to pickup. The install was done professionally on both units and delivered on time. Ed did a fantastic job keeping us up-to-date on the delivery and made sure everything was going smoothly as promised. He checked in on us on us after the sale as well to make sure we are 100% satisfied and to see if we needed anything. We would also like to thank Danya in the finance department who made our purchase go very smoothly and had all of our documents in order and ready to go right on time as well. We were then greeted by Josh who thanked us for our business at foothills Marine and discussed the proper break in procedures and answered any questions or concerns we had. Josh put us on the water and made sure everything on board was working as it should. He verified the Coast Guard package that was included on board and took us out to get comfortable with our new pontoon. Foothills Marine is a class act. We couldn't be happier with The professionalism, honesty and all-around good nature working with the Marine dealer who truly enjoys what they do and do it very well. We are really enjoying our new pontoon and wouldn't hesitate to do business with the foothills marina Lake Norman in the future. Stop in and see their selections and meet their staff. They will take great care of you. Dan
