I wasn't sure where to buy a package, and when I finally found the right place, the man handing them out was very discouraging. He mentioned there were only a few games left out of 28 and seemed reluctant to sell me a package. I told him that was fine -- I still wanted to buy one just to enjoy the experience. My friends arrived a little later, and he refused to sell them a package. They came over to wait with me since I had already purchased mine. One of my friends was allowed to stay, but when the other arrived, they told us she had to leave -- and the way they approached us was very rude and made us feel uncomfortable. At that point, I didn't even feel like staying to finish my games. I ended up giving my $25 package to a kind lady who was helping me understand how bingo worked since I'm new to it. We were just trying to have a fun girls' night out, but instead, we basically got kicked out and treated poorly. To make matters worse, when we asked for the name of the woman who told us to leave, she refused to give it, and they were talking about us as we were leaving. It was an unprofessional and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place.

Sat there another 5 minutes without being acknowledged by the bartender. Finally a woman said she'd be right with us. Ten minutes later I asked the bartender if this is where you go to get a drink and he said it was but then walked away. It was a bizarre experience to say the least. We were there 15-20 minutes and finally left and went to Christopher's. It wasn't that busy either. We got there right around 5:30.

You'll get all-you-can-eat kumla dumplings and shredded ham, canned green beans, roll and apple sauce. It's the hearty meal that built this town in central Iowa. The bartenders at the casino are busy talking to each other and there's not much interest in taking care of the customers that are paying money there. He went out to get it and on the way in, security would not let him in because he appeared intoxicated. He doesn't drink or use drugs if any kind. I talked to a manager and he said that once a decision is made, there is no changing it. We actually called the Jefferson police department and asked to come do a breathalyzer and sobriety test. The officer came but said they have the right to refuse anybody. They say their employees are specifically trained for such problems. Really? How does a person with over 10 years sobriety get refused due to intoxication? Very disappointing. Oh well, we like to spend money and Prairie Meadows is happy to have our business.
