The house chips were a little too thick, tasted slightly stale and the flavoring was coated on and not in a good way. Mac and cheese was bland. Wings were odd flavors with no classics. The menus are outdated tech and clunky. For a place named after tap, the selection was not impressive. Sad.

Walking up to the club house the grounds keeper turned the mower in my direction by the parking lot and I took a rock to the face. Guy on the mower just looked, no wave, no apology. Walk in and ask the lady about mowers not having a guard on them after telling her a rock was sent from the mower and hit me in the face and her reply was, "it's a zero turn. We sat outside to enjoy the live jazz music. Jazzers were excellent and fun, playing a lot of classics. The audience was engaged, and the patio is huge. Hospitality. Service was friendly and accommodating. Offerings. Food and drinks were overall good. We had appetizer plate and scarfed it down. But we were too full to try desserts that seemed plentiful to pick. Of Note and Last Impressions. The loo was clean and stocked. We would come back mostly for the venue and the jazz. Nothing beats live music, dining outside, and relaxing near the river. Very cool. Would recommend.

Visited early Saturday evening for dinner…read more We had a table immediately however, the young ladies at the host stand were not professional. Passively greeted and sat us between their giggling chit chat. We were sat against the shut door that was pouring cold air. Of all the empty tables, why anyone is ever sat at that table in the winter, either doesn't care or isn't paying attention. The grime on the menus confirms the host stands needs to step up their attention to their work. The waitress was great. Very attentive. Made a mistake with a quick fix. Service could not have been better. She took our order and we scanned the room and decor. The cold draft was getting annoying but was quickly overshadowed by the group of men in the corner shouting and one kept frickin whistling in response to the raucous laughing and shouting. Where was management to ask them to tone it down a bit? Whistling! Like you're calling a dog in from the yard. Clearly he just wanted all eyes on him and their group. It was insanely inconsiderate because it went on for 20 mins. The 20 mins until they left. Idk if they were that loud before we arrived or what kicked up the volume. They weren't watching a game. They were sitting in a big circle like a group discussion. Anyway. The good was fine. Nothing special. The stuffed mushrooms came in a half moon dish on a plate with nothing on the side. It was strange but tasty enough. Salad was huge but I think they forgot the tomatoes and cucumbers. Homemade ranch really set it off. Reasonable prices and quick service. Glad to leave when we were done and warmup in the car.

I usually enjoy staying at Holiday Inn, but this location was just okay…read more We arrived around 1 a.m., and the front desk had already prepared everything, including our key cards, which was a nice touch. As other reviews mentioned, the hotel does feel a bit dated--there were no charging outlets on the bedside tables like most modern hotels. There was also no microwave in the room, which was disappointing since we had planned to heat up some Trader Joe's kimbap and instant noodles. The bathroom was fine, but the bathtub was very slippery. There's a handle bar installed, probably for safety, but it still didn't feel very secure. From desk and housekeepers are all so nice hence 4 stars. On the good note: check out time is 12 pm instead 11am so it's a plus

The Masonic Temple in Downtown Battle Creek is a landmark building intimately connected with the…read moresurrounding community. The building boasts an all brick façade, with columns and a dated '1913' granite marker on the left front corner. There is a granite boulder on the front lawn with a special brass plaque that reads: "The tablet erected by the citizens of Battle Creek in connection with the centennial celebration 1931, marks the place which was builded, in 1831, the first dwelling in Battle Creek." I find it interesting that the word 'Builded' was used in place of 'Built', but perhaps that was the correct grammar of the day when this was unveiled. The location of the Masonic Temple in Downtown Battle Creek is more significant by testimony of this sign, than just the architecture itself. The building was erected on the site of the first dwelling in Battle Creek. The Masonic Temple in Downtown Battle Creek has made their facility available to the public as an event or reception hall, and they offer a full kitchen and have made available several historic rooms for weddings, church gatherings, etc. I did not take any interior photos out of respect to the Masons who are the caretakers of the place, but the interior is wonderful in many ways with marble floors, and beautiful carved hardwood surfaces. The well cared for interior is a very classic style, mixing the designs of several eras, and genres. The Masonic Temple in Downtown Battle Creek is located between City Hall and the Justice Center, and has its own parking, and it is easy to find from the M-66 corridor that runs into downtown. Reservations are required to use the facility, but usually scheduling in advance is not a problem. During the week visitors are welcome to stop by and request a tour, and if the caretaker is there, he will often tell you some history. When you consider that many of the founding fathers of our country were Masons, such as Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson and even Marquis De Lafayette one feels like one is walking into timelessness of solidarity within the walls of the temple.
