So...my boyfriend snores. I mean, snores. Like a chainsaw and a freight train combined. Obviously earplugs are a necessity, but the foam ones from Walgreens just weren't cutting it anymore, so I decided to investigate custom earplugs. I use them every night, so I may as well invest in something good, right?
A phone call got me a price of $75/ear (so $150 total) and an appointment. The guy -- the doctor? I have no clue, since he never introduced himself -- did some molds of my ears and told me to come back in a week. No explanation of what the plugs would look like or how they would fit, nothing. A week later, I was handed the teeniest, tiniest set of earplugs I've ever seen.
Ok, I thought, these must be some kind of magical material. But they were useless. The snoring was just as loud as ever. I couldn't believe I'd spent this much money for nothing, so I called and complained. They offered to make a different set, with a little flap that would supposedly provide more sound insulation, but these also proved to be completely worthless.
At this point, I was fed up and demanded, and got, my money back. But what a waste of time! I cannot believe this place is still in business. What a joke. read more
