I found the time time to go back up there and get them fixed, but they said they couldn't because I didn't get the warranty. I just bought the pair of glasses. I can understand if it was a year or even 6 months later, but I just purchased the glasses. This didn't seem like a warranty issue, it seem like a marketing issue.

I called ahead of time to let them know I was otw and that it was okay if I brought my pair of glasses up there, the screw fell out but I do have it. When I got there I told the lady that I had called and I just need a screw put in my glasses. She then said that she can't help me that they don't carry screws for glasses. I said ma'am I have the screw with me and then all she wanted to do was argue with me saying that it wasn't the correct screw and that she couldn't help me. Finally after talking with her a little more she took my glasses to the back and fixed them. Probably won't be coming back to this place ever again.

While my experience with Dr. Sistar and his wife occurred a good many years ago (2011-2013), I have…read moreyet to find any optometrist and/or opthamologist that even comes close to their attentiveness to meeting the patient's visual needs in every possible way. I am a special needs patient, having only one eye with functional vision. The functional vision consists of cornea defects, scar tissue, a schleric retinal buckle and, a severe astigmatism - all of which require the optician to possess the knowledge of visual materials and digital techniques to give such a patient their best visual experience. Since leaving the Waycross, GA area and moving to Florida, I have yet to find any optometrist/optical entity that is as knowledgeable as Dr. Sistar and his wife. I held on to the glasses they made for me in 2012 for as long as was possible. They went far beyond the extra mile in making glasses for a problem patient so that I would experience my best possible vision. I sorely miss them. And encourage any and all to choose Dr. Sistar above any and all other similar optical choices.
