There was a decent selection of pasta at a very good price, with several brands outside of the store brand available for purchase. The store was clean and in good condition; really the only things that I didn't like was the unfriendliness of the person staffing the self-checkouts (no greeting or acknowledgement at all) and that despite the checkout having an English option, the receipt still printed in Italian. Seems like an easy fix!

They kept their eggs on shelves instead of the cooler section. I will say one thing that made this place a "Do not return" spot for me was the there was several rotten fruits and vegetables left mixed in with the others. You can tell they had been there for days and no one checks. They charge for bags here so keep that in mind and plan accordingly. I will say I like the hrs of operation.

This Esselunga is located within a mall, which I have to say is a new one for me, but the location was good for us to walk to and from our apartment and they had a nice variety of items available for purchase. Staff was nonexistent but we were able to find most of what we wanted without any assistance.

There's always room for dessert, especially if it starts with "g" and ends in "o": G-E-L-A-T-O! We decided to get fancy and do our "merendina" (snack) and sit down with our group of friends and order directly from their menu. The kind gelato waitress came by and took our order, we were about 6 adults and 5 kids. These guys had so much patience and brought out our orders with a big warm smile and delicious gelato for all. I ordered a custom gelato cup with pistacchio (MUST TRY) and nocciola flavors. The gelato was so fresh and creamy and melted right in your mouth. As I write this, it's making me want more! Our friends ordered gelato filled crepes, gelato topped waffles mad right in the moment, gelato cones, bowls and all the good stuff. Everything was delicious and it definitely was worth it.
