The project involved constructing an eight-foot retaining wall, performing significant excavation work, and completing the final grading and seeding. The work area was difficult to access, but John handled every aspect of the job with professionalism and expertise. His pricing was fair, communication was excellent throughout the project, and he was reliable and courteous from start to finish. We've already referred JD Baldus Hardscape to other homeowners looking for similar work, and we wouldn't hesitate to use John again or recommend him to others. Highly recommended.

I spoke to my local company that recommended John for landscaping (because they asked how he did). Once I told them about the issue, they took his business card and threw it away and stated thats not the first time they have heard this. Then I was in Mattawan Landscape supply looking at their hardscape options. When I was talking to the owner he pointed over to a contractor that he says does great hardscape work. He pointed to John. I informed him that John has not returned any of my calls, even to just say the project is too big for him or he does not have time. He never answers his phone either so you are always leaving a message. I am very reasonable about timing. I can have someone start tomorrow or a few months from now. I know these guys are busy. To completely ignore a potential customer shows lack of professionalism through my eyes and brings great concern to the actual project if he struggles to communicate on the front side. Are there any landscapers out there that would like a complete landscape job or even a few filler jobs?

Custom & Moore assured us that by the time they were finished we wouldn't even know they'd been there. That's a mighty promise but I must say, they did an outstanding job and when they left our yard was spotless. Some key points that warranted a 5-Star review: they came in a timely manner to give us our estimate. They showed up on time and when they said they would, and when a tree limb broke a wire leading to the house they promptly called to have it fixed. We've dealt with several tree companies in the area and none of them compare with this company. Highly recommended.

Scott and his crew amazed me with how efficiently they excavated our previous waterfall and planned and created a magnificent focal point for our enjoyment. The new waterfall is gorgeous! Scott also laid beautiful boulder staircases and boulder walkways to complete the look. Boulder Man's finished product is top notch but the icing on the cake for me was how wonderfully organized, clean, and friendly the entire crew was towards us and our neighbors. Very respectful by not playing loud music, no vulgar language (that I heard!), and best of all, they cleaned up after themselves prior to leaving for the day (our project took only three working days!), including hosing dirt from our patio. At the completion of our project, the entire crew took their time with cleaning the yard, raking garden bark in place and leveling the ground where machinery was used. I was so surprised to discover that they had made a little bench out of river rock and slate near the base of the waterfall. Such attention to detail! We can't thank Boulder Man enough for the fantastic work at our house and we are looking forward to many years of relaxing to the beauty and sound of our new waterfall! Thank you, Scott and crew!!!
