Jim's hourly rates are reasonable and he does not overcharge, even if he over/underestimates (especially if a quote is given over the phone without seeing the actual place that needs work done)--his fees are appropriate and completely reasonable. I've just moved into a studio apartment that required a much needed upgrade. I called a bunch of handyman services that I found on Yelp, and Jim was only 1 of 3 that got back to me on the same day. Since he was so friendly and patient with my request, I immediately scheduled an appointment with him. He confirmed our appointment the evening before, arrived on time, and promptly got to work after greeting me. He painted my kitchen, bathroom, and a wall in the living room...and my apartment now looks amazing! He also installed a new showerhead and changed my toilet seat in literally less than 5 minutes. Throughout the day, he was also very conversational and friendly. More importantly, I felt that I could trust him with my apartment and belongings, as I left for a couple of hours while he was still working. Hiring Jim was SO worth it (and I paid out of my own pocket since my landlord was not required to make all of the updates that I wanted to make)...I'm loving my apartment!
