Update: In response to my Yelp review I received a call from Roto-Rooter. After looking into my…read morecomplaint, they told me that I was overcharged - that it should have been full price for the first drain and half-price for the others. They blamed it on the technician's cellphone app. I was refunded $765.50 that same day. Of course I don't know what the real story was - did they try to take advantage of me or was it an honest mistake? In any event, the work was done well and the charge was high, even taking the refund into account. If you're going to deal with them, I'd advise you comparison shop and be VERY clear what the charges are going to be before the work is done.

Mark was supposed to fix a leaking tub. I paid him $1200. I'm not sure what he did, but the…read moretenants said he just caulked around the tub, and it is still leaking and causing damage to the ceiling downstairs. I called him to re-fix the leak, since I paid him $1200 to fix it. He said his truck was BROKEN. And on top of that mentioned he'll charge me extra to fix the leak he was originally supposed to have fixed. I went by the positive reviews, but I think most are fake. According to AI, fake positive reviews are rampant in the plumbing business. I also think he isn't licensed, or at least I couldn't find him in the database of NY state licensed plumbers. I'm kicking myself for being too trusting. I should've done more research. In any case, if you have to use this plumber, proceed with caution. May the force be with you!
