They show old and first-run movies, they do only have one screen but that lends to its charm. It's a boon to have downtown because the only other theaters are on the west end so all of the south, north, and downtown families have to drive out to the west end. The Babcock is a nonprofit so you know your money isn't going to line any corporate pockets, it's going to revitalize the arts in billings. Art house has so many events and classes for students in our community that it feels good supporting them and our entertainment needs at the same time! They have reasonable ticket prices, a beautifully renovated space, beer and wine options as well as fun snacks! We always try to go here before the bigger theaters. The front door is light however, if it's windy, it might be hard to open. There are exhibits on the first and second floors, but they do have an elevator pictured here. It is mostly at the top and then there's a second level at the bottom that is also accessible. I did not look at the bathrooms.

The had a small area with children's art which I loved, as I got hooked on art while young. They have an artist in residence program - very cool. It's In another small building behind the main building. There was an artist, with her installation, available while I was there. Easy walk from downtown hotel but I saw ample parking. The had a piece by Alexander Upshaw 2023. In the text regarding the tribal regalia- they state for the photos (long ago) he used "costumes" You have to be careful with the word costumes. If the pieces are from their regalia you don't use "costumes". Costumes are for dressing up for Halloween. I think the text was saying the photographer took a native Americans from a tribe and dressed them in regalia which actually belong to a variety of tribal nations. An education explanation should be included here. Consult your local tribes so it's proper. Adornment is of if talking about a necklace, dress which is used for everyday wear.
