After I contacted Clint/White Frames Photography he offered to come to Houston to meet with my fiancé to checkout some of his work and so we could all feel one another out to ensure we are a good match. I don't know how you couldn't be a good match with Clint bc he's super easy to work with and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Originally we weren't going to do engagement photos bc my husband and I wanted to limit camera time haha; however Clint advised/suggested that we do them because it will 1) help us feel more comfortable with getting our picture taken, 2) help us find out what positions, poses and angles we like , which leads to 3) feeling so much more confident the day of the wedding when taking photos. His advice I believe saved our wedding photos! Haha, as my husband and I were able to quickly figure out what we liked and how we wanted to look. I'm not sure how he managed to capture so many great photos at the wedding bc we never felt like he was there (other than family pictures and the after wedding shoot haha). I am usually really uncomfortable taking pictures. Like, uncomfortable to the degree that if…read moresomeone pulls out a camera, I run the other way. A couple years ago my fiance and I were both in other relationships and looking back at the pictures of previous failed relationships also made me wary. I thought we were doomed to take awkward, cheesy, stupid pictures that only exist for burning. Both of those factors together made me question my sanity when I booked an engagement session with Liz, the photographer for Edelweiss. I should not have worried at all. Before the actual shoot, Liz worked with me to figure out places within the city that would look great in photographs and were personally meaningful. She also suggested we bring our dog, which made her life more difficult, I am sure, but made our pictures more personal. I am pretty sure that most photographers aren't willing to try taking pictures in a bar with a dog for the sake of their client's whim! The potential for disaster was definitely there. Even with all those complications and challenges, Liz stayed professional enough to move the shoot along and fun enough to get my fiance and I laughing like crazy. The results were amazing! Liz provided us with digital copies of 25 unique photos (edited in different ways, so we actually have closer to 150 pictures total, if that makes sense) and I am mildly ashamed of how long I have spent looking at them. She also turned them around in just a few days, which was impressive. Less waiting for me! Based on my previous experiences I can say this was both the best value in terms of service and actual, usable pictures for the money. I can't recommend Liz enough!
