I know it's been a few years, but I find the review above from 2015 totally different from my experience. Everyone I've dealt with from the staff that greet you, to the guy that has answered the phone to the delivery guy (which I would note is actually a different company, Amber subcontract this out) have been awesome. And, hand on heart, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and they've bent over backwards to go through everything with me. Twice. If the lady above had such horrendous experiences from EVERYONE involved, I can't help but feel that the issue might be her.... In terms of pricing, a few people have said Amber are exxy and I could get cheaper elsewhere but to be honest, I found their pricing on par with someone like Bunnings and the Amber products are much nicer - although I should note, I'm totally lazy and have no inclination for the full on bargain hunting some people go for so I don't doubt there are cheaper options. All in all, it was a really positive experience and if I do further backyard renovation work (God forbid, I'd rather peel my skin off than deal with tradesmen again), I'd just go straight to these guys. read more

From the moment I walked in, I got a negative vibe from the young staff member Corrine. She was rude, cold and lazy. However, as Amber are a seemingly reputable company and conveniently located near my home, I thought they'd suitably meet my brief. After requesting some samples to test at home, I didn't end up receiving what I had asked for. However, I went against my gut feeling and proceeded to order with Amber Kingsford because of their convenient location and time restraint. Little did I know I was to pay later on... I specifically gave clear instructions for delivery but these were not adhered to. Instead I was met with hostility and extremely unprofessional practice. The delivery driver was aggressive and unwilling to follow instructions, and as such I called the proprietor to politely put forward my dissatisfaction to try and resolve the issue. I was again met with hostility and an extremely defensive tone. This franchise is a family run business and unfortunately I found them to be extremely rude and unprofessional, unwilling to meet customer expectations or to resolve issues. I have since learnt several other people have come across similar issues with Amber Kingsford and will undoubtably never use them again, nor recommend them to anyone. I have received goods from a competitor supplier ABL TILES in St Mary's and have been 100% satisfied with their service from start to finish. I would highly recommend ABL Tiles to anyone looking for great value service and a professional, hassle-free experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AMBER TILES KINGSFORD. Buyers beware. read more
