My opinion of this hotel was…read moretaken down a notch by the nerve of the office person calling us right after we checked out and were in the car on the way home, to scold us for leaving the room in what she called disarray. First of all, they do not clean the room during your stay. We left the used towels on the floor in the bathroom and there was no more room in the trash cans, so we put some in carryout bags that we had gotten from the restaurants. We also left a nice tip, so that should have been the end of it. Who calls a customer and complains about the room not being clean? It's really too bad because we liked the place, but we will not be back.

More often than not my room is missed certain terms, for instance 3 bottles of lotion instead of a. Shampoo and conditioner. Last visit my room was out of Kleenex, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and creamer packets. More often then not the pool has no towel's available, so plan accordingly. There are also no microwaves in the rooms. A little more attention to detail on the cleaning would be excellent. This visit the fridge still had the last persons butter in the fridge, the room before there was a six pack ring on the counter and a make up sponge on the floor. They also place people with dogs right beside people with no dogs when 9/10th of the resort is empty. The pub also closes very early. I continue to chose to stay here because it is remarkably beautiful, everything the grounds, the beach and even the buildings. I love the tongue and groove and the log beam feel. The staff are kind and generous. The rates are on par. And the balconies and room patios are excellent. The fireplaces are also a nice touch. The beds are comfy and the WiFi is fast. And the pool is big, warm, beautiful and clean. Thank you Oakwood for becoming my safe haven I look forward to my next visit

We had a family of 4 and were given 3 towels. When we asked for a 4th we were told they were short on towels. The indoor pool was very dirty. We were told it closes at 11pm then someone came in at 8pm and told everyone to leave because they were closing early.

Came to the Kiwi Motel in mid-August just to get away from the city for a few days. Having known…read morethat this motel was recently renovated, we had high expectations for our rooms. The Kiwi Motel is one of the most aesthetically pleasing places that J have stayed at. Not is it just the colour of the furniture and even the furniture itself that tied the room together, but it was also just the quality of everything in the room that really satisfied me. Our main room was accompanied with a mini fridge, a safe, and a coffee machine (that comes with two mugs, two glasses, and a few disposable cups). There is a small desk to sit at, although there isn't much space to use because of the safe being on the desk. We also have a built-in AC and fan in the room, so we are free to turn on and off the air conditioning. The room comes with at least 4 outlets- the ones beside the beds even come with UBS and USB-C compatible outlet plugs! The washroom is also completely renovated, which means no broken faucets and strong flush toilets. The washroom was prepared with a hand towel and a few body towels, along with a bar of soap, lotion, and body wash. There was also extra toilet paper rolls just in case. The washroom also comes in with a built-in fan when you turn on the lights, which is amazing. With the high ceilings and warm lighting, this motel is the closest thing to a home away from home. There's a small sitting area outside of your room, and if that's not enough, there's a sitting area by the lobby of the motel that comes with couches, swinging chairs, and even a hammock. The only downside is that there is no microwave inside the motel room. Other than that, our room was beautifully prepared for us, and I would definitely come back. An amazing find, only a 10-15 minute walk from the beach.

Everything was cooked to perfection and served nice and hot. Service was good and efficient. Definite recommend for a great schnitzel meal.
