He was very thorough when looking at houses with us and pointed out things to look out for that we would have otherwise missed. He worked diligently on our behalf from the time we hired him as our agent through closing. In that time we saw quite a few houses and made several offers, but not once did we ever feel pressured by Rich - he very much works for his clients and is not at all pushy, which we sincerely appreciated! I would recommend Rich to anyone looking to buy a home in Greater Boston!

We got an offer accepted in April and closed in June. Rob was a very responsive and punctual agent. Scheduling open houses and private showings with Rob was very smooth, sometimes we went to a few properties in one day. Rob's feedback to properties were very honest and as first time home buyer's we would have missed those aspect if he had not mentioned it. There was a property with a major tilt and Rob pointed it out...it was making us dizzy. It was great having Rob to help answer our questions about the roof, the heater, water boiler, septic tank age and so much more. He would also provide comps of similar properties that sold recently in the area. Overall, we had a great experience with Robbie and would highly recommend him.

For many years we were snowbirds, spending 5 months of the year in Florida and the remainder of the…read moreyear at our house in Massachusetts. During this last trip to Florida we found a house and decided to make Florida our primary residence. We decided to sell our house in Massachusetts but, unfortunately the COVID pandemic prevented us from returning to personally do all that was needed to sell the house. We needed someone to prepare the house for sale, price it for a sale, advertise it and then complete the sale all with me ever being there. Everything had to be done remotely. I did an internet search looking for someone that would take on the responsibility to take on all aspects of selling our house. Based on recommendations I found on the internet, I selected Kelly McGovern as my agent. From my 1st contact with Kelly I was impressed with her calm, friendly, helpful attitude. I had checked with Zillow & Realtor.com to get and idea of what my house was worth. Kelly felt that those estimates were too low and suggested a much higher price. I decided to go with her expertise. The first thing that needed to be done was the preparation of the house. Kelly identified the things that needed to be done. She brought in someone to power wash, repair and paint where needed. She managed my gardeners to present the property in the best possible light. She met with a moving company to arrange the shipment of the things we wanted in Florida. Kelly then took complete responsibility for selling some items, giving away others and then, finally, working with a trash removal company to empty the house of everything else. She worked with a Septic company to get the required Title 5 certificate. When the house was completely ready, Kelly arranged a 2 hour open house and got 2 offers, both over the asking price. We selected a buyer and then Kelly took responsibility for handling the buyers inspection, the appraisal and all of the detailed work that is required during a house sale. When the buyer wanted money to cover some of the things found during the inspection, Kelly negotiated hard and reduced the amount they wanted by almost 50%. Dealing with Kelly, I never felt any pressure, was always informed about what was going on and felt completely assured that I was in good, competent hands. This was the best real estate sales experience I have ever had. Honestly, I could not have done it without her.

I also wasn't sure where in Massachusetts I wanted to live. We ended up focusing our efforts in the Somerset/Fall River/New Bedford area of the state. It was anything but easy. Between the seller's realtors/Sellers who really put us through some drama (ask Mark about it sometime, I am sure he will share some stories) and my desire for that perfect balance between historic character and live-in-ready, somehow we did it. It took us 4 months but we found a home and I closed on 06/28/17. It is perfect. Mark was not a realtor through the process, he was a friend. As a single mom doing it all on my own, I came to rely on his professionalism and expertise but also on his patience, advice, and willingness to stick with me until I found what I wanted. He helped me navigate through the pre-approval process, the inspection, and his team was wonderful. I always knew where I stood and what came next. No question was ever silly and no number of questions were too many. I always felt like I was his top priority even though I knew he had other clients he was helping. Purchasing a home is a stressful experience, THAT you cannot avoid. But having Mark on your team really gives you peace of mind that it will all work out and in the end you will be where you need to be. Thank you Mark!
