I found myself in Amazonia on a boring sunny Summer's day in Motherwell. Myself and a few of my pals decided to 'do something' and coming to Strathclyde Park is the only thing to do when it is sunny. Amazonia is in the theme park area of the Park.
It's 5.25 to get into this little tropical rainforest, which is quite steep if there are a few of you. It's also quite steep when you realise it isn't exactly packed to the rafters with amazonian critters.
There are spiders, ants, bats, frogs, reptiles and fish. Wowsa. But the best things are the cute little monkeys, which i'm surprised haven't been robbed yet.
It's ok, nothing to rave about, but worth a once only visit with kids. read more
