I love Amazon, but God I hate this particular store. So many times they are out of items that are priced well, and the staff just seems so rude so often. I am always polite but they just act like they are privileged, cocky, uninterested to help, and annoyed when you ask them something. We have not shopped here a lot, but the few times we have we have found that their pricing is high mid to higher than most stores around unless of course you are shopping for advertised specials. We find the pricing for the hot food bar in the high range and quality average. We do like having a drop off location for Amazon returns. read more

In theory, fantastic. But every week we would order and thought we were good to go and then we'd bring the order home and it seemed like more and more of my regular items were sold out. The fancy cart can be used to bypass checkout if you have an Amazon account, but I didn't try it out because there were registers opened with no lines. We had a very pleasant shopping experience here on a recent Saturday afternoon. We went there looking for a specific hard to find organic cookie. They had them. What I liked about their in stock items is that it seemed like they had alot if small size items that would be good for single people or small families. I was expecting high prices. What I found was that prices were sonewhat higher than a regular grocery store but not unreasonably so. They have a salad bar and a hot food bar that are the same price as Jewel's. We absolutely love the smart cart where you place your items and it automatically scans the item. You can see a running tally of your purchases so you don't have to wait untill you check out to see how much you spent. I noticed that it was a much calmer shopping environment that the local Jewel's or Costco. read more

Amazon Fresh gets mixed reviews. And, I'm really not sure why. If you want Whole Foods, go there. Amazon Fresh has a nice variety of options ranging from fresh fish and meats to prepared foods, to everything you would find in a typical grocery store. They have a neat option you can use - an electronic cart. You'll need an Amazon Prime membership to use them. When you add something to the basket, it automatically scans the item. Then, rather than going through the checkout line, there is a special lane you simply walk through. As you do, it checks you out and charges the card you have on file with Amazon. Even though it's a gimmick, it adds some fun. I haven't particularly like the look of the fresh meats. And, sometimes when you visit, the fresh fish doesn't always smell fresh. I'm not sure I would buy anything behind that counter. We bought some groceries, some freshly prepared sushi, and some of the prepared foods they offer behind a counter. All of the prepared items were delicious. It was also nice we had a $10 off coupon when spending more than $50. Our total before the coupon was just over $50 so we did save a little. I think it's a nice store. While it won't ever be my regular grocer, it is good for when you want something special and don't want to pay the outlandish prices at Whole Foods. read more

Refuses to honor sale prices when the online ad disagrees with the print ad, even when their own customer service agrees to honor the price. Additionally, in the past, they have frequently been out of advertised items as well, even when visiting on the first day of a sale (we were once told by an employee that they never got any of one of the sale items we were looking for). Advertising at one price but then selling at a much higher price is dishonest and seems to indicate they are enticing you to come to their store, but then playing bait-and-switch. The store seems clean and nice, and many of the employees are helpful, but it appears management is poor. Not recommended. read more

Always a good experience here, if you look lost people will ask if you need help that works at the store. Using the dash cart is the ultimate experience because you don't have to wait in line and you just walk out. The only downside to the dash cart is they haven't made it to where you can bring it outside so you have to transfer everything over to a regular cart. Overall they do have good prices Hit or miss, something's are cheaper than Walmart and other times it's more expensive. They do have sales constantly for being a prime member and usually with that sale you are going to save more money than you would at Walmart. I've actually done comparisons by scanning barcodes on the Walmart app while I'm at the Amazon store and Amazon will beat them out 80% of the time with the discount. I don't know about other locations but this one is never busy which makes me wonder if it will survive, maybe Amazon doesn't mind losing money and or it's possible they're just doing so many online grocery orders and that's why there's less people. There's always a lot of Amazon workers shopping for online orders. Don't get this place confused with the regular Amazon app because they have very few products from the online platform at the store. They do have some Amazon basics with kitchenware pots and pans and there's a small section by the return area in the back of Amazon products like fire sticks. read more

This store just opened today. It appears a bit smaller than the other chains, but they do have just about everything. The store was clean and organized with plenty of staff members everywhere. I thought the produce and meat were priced on the high side. I do the family shopping so I know prices. I did get a decent price on yogurt and a salad kit so that was my total purchase. I was going to get a rotisserie chicken, but they looked scrawny so I passed. To be fair, I'll swing back in a few weeks to see how they settle in and if my review changes. read more

I've been shopping this store since it opened. The majority of the store staff are friendly, helpful. However, on 12/27/2024 that all changed. The cashier was extremely rude, hostile, unfriendly. This pertains to Order #113-1190846-9087424 at 3:25 p.m. He was friendly to all the other customers except me. No attitude from me (I'm a people person), but he made me feel like I wasn't welcome and that I was bothering him. Well "Terminal #004", I will be more than happy to take my business elsewhere. MAKE SURE they actually send your return back to Amazon and you get confirmation. Took a very simple return, she scanned the code, I waited a few minutes to receive email confirmation. Never came. I returned to ask employee why and she very snippily told me "it takes time". Ok, fine. Not the location I've used before but I'll respect that. I totally love it. I had an awesome experience at this store. Staff is very polite and helpful. Not too much traffic on the isles. Quick and fast experience at the check out. Not your long lines like coy I or the whole food stores. I am pretty sure I will be ditching my membership at Costco. I found the things I usually buy at others store a fraction of the price cheaper. Ex. The blue dog food I paid 25 at the pet store for a bigger bag here at Amazon I paid 16 a bigger size bag. Tooth paste too without fluoride at the regular stores I paid 6 here 2.38. I was in line already to pay and went back to get the essentials much cheaper than Walmart too. They have a huge selection of all types of ice cream non dairy too. I know for sure I will it pay that 60 membership for Costco when I can find things cheaper at Amazon. read more

Employees at the Bloomingdale's location are great person to person but lack knowledge on produce because all the fresh lettuce was brown and seem rotten so maybe that why it's on sale for .99 cents a head same thing happen with their fresh meat so they close that section down you can't train a butcher and produce peoples overnight read more

I LOVE THIS STORE! I'm 75 years old and it's just the right size to get around to all the departments without keeling over. And it's easy parking too! The folks are SUPER friendly and very, very helpful. There's a great assortment of brands and they have a fresh food counter with meatballs, chicken tenders, salads and so much more. The lady that's there most of the time is the sweetest person you'll ever find. VERY helpful, very knowledgeable and very friendly. I really love shopping there! PS - ya gotta try those meatballs! Never return an item from Amazon.com here. My return at the service desk was lost, despite their scanning the QR return code I got from Amazon.com. I talked to the store manager who said they have a computer glitch, and offered no other assistance. She admitted my return would have normally never been credited. She said they never issue paper receipts, and that Amazon.com is a separate entity so they take no responsibly. I called Amazon.com, who had no record of the return in the system, but they issued me a courtesy return credit as an exception. Never even buy any groceries here with this poor customer service. read more

So this my review for the newly opened Amazon Fresh in Bloomingdale! Its refreshing to see a new grocery store to enter the area after the former Toys R Us. However this grocery store is different in that it's more of a convenience shopping than anything else. The general layout of the store is nice and spacious overall. Aisles are identified with one way entry points to avoid people contact. Products are stocked nicely including great ambient LED lighting. For the full shopping experience you use the smart carts which are tied to your Amazon account. In general the pushing around of the cart is okay but it feels a bit heavy even though it only has 2 paper bags. You scan your phone and off you go! Amazon people are there to help you, as needed and standard "old-school" cashiers are available. Overall my experience was positive and I'll likely come back for new and unique items which can revolve. Time will tell how others may have similar experiences. Great job Amazon! read more
