Found this small , home based kennel a few months ago and our little guy has already stayed 4 times. As soon as we turn onto the street he starts looking out the window and is so excited. He runs into the play yard to find a friend and doesn't look back. We love getting photos and videos of him and his pals. Demmi Lowery the owner not only neglects her personal dogs and horses. She profits from neglecting your animals as well. She rents out camper spaces but has En-Adequate electrical set up. As a former and current renter here at 1000 mornside rd. Englewood Florida. SHE KILLED MY NEIGHBORS DOG BY SHUTTING OFF HIS POWER TO SUPPLY HER BUILDING WITH NO WARNING . DEMMI KNEW THE DOG WAS INSIDE AND IN DISTRESS AS THE DAY GOT HOTTER AND CHOSE TO LET THE DOG SUFFER. I have witnessed dogs left outside all day and night un attended. Amazing tails was incredible!!! My fur baby, Ono, was so so happy! There is a a beautiful place for doggies to play and their "clubhouse" comes with AC and a leather couch. This is where the pups sleep, so Ono was really happy and safe. Demi was incredible and sent me updates while I was away. 100% recommend! I think Ono was sad to come home cause he had so much fun! read more

I am so happy to find Amazing Tails! I left my 2 dogs there over the weekend and Demi did a great job taking care of them! The came home happy and clean. I had boarded them somewhere else in the past and one of my dogs hid under the bed for a month after coming home. It is great to know that I can board them at Amazing Tails and not worry :) read more

I will NEVER return to Amazing Tails to board my dog and needed police intervention to retrieve him. Demi sent me a NEW confirmation email at the time of pickup as I pulled into her driveway, 2 weeks after the original confirmation receipt, increasing the price, changing the date, and altering the time in which she would allow me to pick him up. When I attempted to talk with her about the changes, I was screamed at, called names, and threatened with aggressive arm movements. Then she proceeded to add additional charges to my bill via TEXT message that were not even on the new bill. I had to call the police to intervene as she yanked my dog back into her business, refusing to let me retrieve him. I was charged for an additional day I did not receive, and she kept his toys, bedding, and food. Her behavior and this interaction has made me fear for the safety of animals left in her care. read more

FIRST OF ALL - BE-AWARE!!!! (I've noticed Demi responds to comments, and I am Kinda curious the response below on this one...) Demi (the owner) comes across as genuine with her candor and her availability, but it's genuinely a pre-conceived notion. Her assistant (Rachel) is really the one you're counting on... (Rachel is Awesome!) Demi is genuinely lubed on any medication she has available. (Furthermore, Ms. Quaalude) Amazing Tails is an absolute joke as of company. Demi did my initial intake with my dog Jake and was instrumental in persuading me to allow her service to care for my dog as I had friends in town. (I did call early Saturday (6/25/22) and questioned the prior reviews, in which she blamed other entities.) Upon arrival, I was greeted by Rachel, and she was genuinely awesome. (Back story - I am protective of my dog (I have a lot of insurance on my Jake) and seriously had reservations, but I was in a pinch with friends in town. (Englewood) So, I walked in and completed a long questionnaire and was told my dog was "safe". WRONG! Within 60 mins, I was greeted by a text that my dog was bitten in the face by another dog. (See Pics) (As dog owners, we assume this a potential, but the aftermath of this story is what is surprising...) With Amazing Tails - We are supposed to complete a pre-authorized form and upon completion - each dog is allowed in... The assumed completion of documentation is quite entailed with a question - "Is your dog Spayed or Neutered"? Awesome question! Well, My dog found out the hard way and while playing with a pregnant female, the stud dog was quick to snap at my dog - see illustrated. This is where it turns... Jake was bitten and Rachel was quick to separate the dogs to ascertain the situation. (See photo) Upon further investigation, texts and inquiries, it was determined that Jake was playing with a female dog (pregnant) and bitten by the male dog (Stud). The questionnaire is strict on whom is allowed in, but Amazing Tails was quick to allow said dogs into their kennel for monetary purposes. Contrary to their own rules. Be that as it will, they did advise me and I was told my dog was going to get sutured and be well, as I was 80 miles away. I required updates for the well-being of my dog. WRONG. I was only given updates by Rachel, and she was doing her best to for the Jakester. Ms. Quaalude never returned any text and was difficult to reach. When I arrived the next day to retrieve Jake, Rachel greeted me and put my mind at ease. Rachel had let me know she bathed Jake and really put special attention on Jake. I was originally told I needed to "pay" for the night, which I agreed but I requested a receipt die to not determining how / what state the owner was in... Upon requesting a receipt, I was told it needed to be "hand-written" by the owner - Ms. Quaalude. Ms. Quaalude didn't appreciate and came out to inform me I owed her for the bath ($50) and she wouldn't render a receipt until I paid her cash. I was greeted by several expletives (F* Jake, F! Me, F* my family) and told to "get off her property and never to return". She could barely stand up at noon. Due to this experience, I filed an incident police report and filed with the Animal Control of Englewood so there was a record. I genuinely sent a letter of reprimand to the County Commissioners office. In my opinion, Demi shouldn't have a Driver's License, much less a Business License. It appears she's so intoxicated most of the time to even make it to the kennel and I've filed to have her license for business and to care for animals revoked. Three months ago we had to move some household items out of storage in Englewood against a deadline. Of necessity we brought our little Bichon cross along and needed a good place for her to stay for a couple of days. Much to our good fortune we discovered Amazing Tails and the wonderful dog lover who shepherded over our dear canine little girl. I simply cannot overstate the care and professionalism shown to us and our pet. She clearly loved the attention and opportunity, and we would gladly bring her back. Don't waste your time or take any chances with your dear pet. Take them here. You and your pet will be glad you did. And don't let the limited access hours deter you. Pet comfort and safety are deluxe benefits. Also, when we later got to talk w our past groomer and sitter we were delighted to learn she enthusiastically endorsed Amazing Tails too. read more

Beware!!!I dropped my dog off at 10am and was told to pick her up at 5pm. Her website said 5:30pm. At 1:30 she texted me and said I have to pick her up at 4pm or she would keep her overnight. I said you can't just change the time mid day. Her helper told me 5pm she said no and stop making trouble. So I said I'm picking her up now. When I got there, she wouldn't open the gate to get on her property. I beeped my horn and gate closed. So I climbed over the gate and went in the house greeted by a pit mix. No one around. I yelled out that I wanted my dog now and yelled a few more times. Meanwhile she was opening and shutting the gate and hit my car. She finally came out, didn't say a word and gave me my dog. She went out the door, wouldn't look at me and drove off. It was the most bizarre thing. There is another review that has a similar story and she had to call the police.
