I had a charity event that was located outside, unfortunately on a very cold and windy day. Vince gave me a checklist of everything he would need prior to the event. As long as all those things were available he said no problem. That's exactly how it went. Vince came out, was able to change in the back of a large moving truck we had, and he came out all Santa'd up and ready to hang out with our event for our time slot. Seeing this wasn't the typical office party or children's event I was a little worried Vince would feel out of place dealing with a different crowd and people that have been tailgating for the Seahawks game all morning... That wasn't the case. Vince did his Santa thing and had any size person come sit on his lap, have a conversation about Christmas wishes and posed for pictures. I believe I was told he politely asked people to set down their drinks prior to taking photos. Which I thought was a great touch (saving potential spills on him and also keeping a good professional profile of pictures. If you have ever taken a picture with a professional team mascot they use the same rule). We got some great photos and Vince was a fun and super easy Santa to have for our party. Even some overly drunk people probably talked Vince's ear off and he didn't care and kept his Santa face on and entertained their conversations and kept the spirit alive with every person. We had a couple veterans that related to his (Vince) family's involvement with the military as well that was mentioned to me. When Vince was finished he came out and visited with me and a couple others and had fun discussing other events we had in the books that same exact day! He also suggested other services they provide that may fit our charity tailgate party next year in case we were interested. Our event isn't always around Xmas so it was nice to hear about other things that might fit the bill. Vince adjusted to our needs to make our Santa visit go as smoothly as possible so I can definitely recommend him for that type of gig! I know a couple friends that kept his information for renting him for a company party in the future. paid $80 to learn how to knit a chunky blanket and another $20 to make a candle. honestly would…read morehave been a good time, but the instructor was so absent during the class period. was told to come 0930 or 9:30AM as per the order e-mail confirmation, which is 30 minutes before the 1000 or 10:00AM knitting class so that you clhave enough time to do both activities until 1300 or 1:00PM. the instructor did not open the door until 0951 or 9:51 AM even though I had signed up weeks ago. lack of communication from the shop about how the timeline will play out, and so instead, the instructor had to interrupt the knitting time to then squeeze the candle-making time. extremely disappointed by lack of communication and coordination this location. I had high hopes, truly, but maybe it was just the instructor that did it for me. the instructor would dipout and multitask elsewhere away from the class-goers who had to standby for a bit so that they can get her help on instruction clarification. Ended up needing to help our peers out because our instructor lacked the initiative to check in on all the guests. Nonetheless, very pretty and happily bright shop. Makes you want to-do a studio tour to truly appreciate the beauty of the art that covers the walls.

The instructor actually told us she had never painted that before, and she completely botched it. Not to mention, had her friend in the class as well (which is normally not an issue) but was totally distracted which in turn was messing everyone else up. A few people around us expressed their frustrations as well, to which she laughed off or would continually repeat "I hear everything in this room". Keeping in mind that this is a black light painting, we almost didnt even get to see what it looked like under the blacklight until my mother asked the instructor if we could a short while after the sessions was over and almost half the class had already left. Would not come back here even if I was paid to, teach your instructors to do their job better. Would give 0 stars if I could.

got up saturday morning looking forward to what I thought was going to be my first time on a 1:32…read moretrack... not unhappy to say that I have rarely been more wronger. turns out that despite what it says on the wall they also race 1:24 scale cars here; 'car' being the operative word. the cars you race actually look like cars, only smaller! about 96% smaller but they are obviously real cars with wheels and tires and electric motors and subject to sudden power loss just like full-size electric cars ;-) wasn't sure if I'd get any track time because it's a race day but I figured that since I was here I'd have a look at how the other half lives. fortunately for me a light turnout left an open space so I was able to borrow a car to get me some laps and enter my first competitive event! yea!! on the down side I still don't know much about the scale racing crowd other than the racers are genial and tracks are a little slower but way drivier; it's kinda like the old VHS -vs- BetaMax discussions. for the casual driver it's not really a question of better or worse, it's a matter of what appeals (more fastly or more drivey?) and what's available. 132 is a great facility featuring scale model racing on a couple of different circuits with a couple tracks currently off-line including a straight line along the wall. Alan is more a host than a front man, ready to share his vast knowledge and stories to entertain as well as educate and introduce people to the world of little cars. and of course parts and accessories and cars are available for purchase. If you never have you really should. if you did you will. if you do you know: race what you like, like what you race, but above all it's supposed to be fun :-) guess I'm gonna buy at least one car when I come back.

Because I fricken love singing Karaoke with Melody Music's DJ Rob at the Waterwheel on Sunday and Wednesday nights, starting around 9:30pm. It's worth the drive, worth the cab fare, worth the hassle of getting back out there to get my car if I drink too much. Rob is a killer Karaoke DJ. He consistently has remembered my name, though I've become a bit of a regular so no shock there. He's got a computer system where he enters in your name and the songs you request, and can bring them back up when you see him again if you tend to sing the same songs, which I do. And his music library... "Would you say I have a plethora of [songs]?" "Si El Guapo." "Do you know what Plethora means?" "No El Guapo." Plethora means shitload. And he's got a shitload of songs. He's got so many songs they can't print them all up in their book full of songs to choose from, so if you are looking for something to sing and don't see it, make sure to ask. And thanks to his fancy computer set-up, you don't have to write down all the code numbers. You just write down the artist, song name, and your name, and he'll do the rest. Rob is real great at cycling through the singers, mixing audio, and making sure the spare mike gets volumed up if someone else jumps in to duet mid-song. He's got a small monitor to read lyrics from, or you can read off the huge monitor at the Waterwheel. Definitely worth coming out to experience the Karaoke joy with these guys.

I can't believe the wide variety, especially when you compare his to other 'popular' karaoke spots catalogs. He also happens to love his job, and it shows. He's a great singer himself, works the crowd up, keeps 'em going, His system is awesome too. It remembers you and songs you've sung before, so just putting your name in there consistently and you can always have songs at the ready...or he'll even make recommendations if you can't think of one. And I'm still cracking up that last night at D's party, he remembered "his buddy Don L" from all our other "Yelp converges upon water wheel karaoke" events. And bonus points for moving me and Carly and another singer up a few slots last night, my reason was compelling enough to get him not only to laugh, but to do it. ;-) Stu made a great decision bringing Rob to the waterwheel!

Its not something I would go to as an adult with other adults if that helps, but I can see young kids like late teens early 20's enjoying this with friends ... also if you had older kids this would be a great family event to go enjoy in celebration of Halloween. I'll tell you that out of 3 kids the oldest girl was so scared she kept begging to go back through the whole ordeal and the youngest 7 year old was crying at the very end. We had to console him and I personally have never seen him nor would think he would've cried. So maybe 7 is too young? I on the other hand was not scared but did enjoy the staging and actors and the theatrics of the event and glad I did it. Would recommend! Hope this review helps others ..

I attend 30-40 haunt each year, and did 10 in the Northwest this year and this was one of the best. There was also an escape room near by if you need thrills. Timed entry helped to reduce wait times. Some food vendors nearby but no real concessions. Hope they at least add t-shirts or stickers do I can show my haunt pride.
