We love Stapleton Peds! Dr. Brandon is our primary. As a pediatric RD it was important for me to…read morefind a pediatrician that supported breastfeeding and was knowledgeable about nutrition. Not only was Dr. Brandon up to date on healthy feeding practices, he also recommended an amazing lactation consultant that came to our house. He makes us feel good about the health decisions we are making and encourages us to ask questions when we feel somethings off. He has great bedside manner and explains the "what's and why's" which is very helpful to us as new parents (especially for my husband). We have also seen Jordan, PA-C and his nurse Megan who were amazing and got us through our first ear infection. They both called to check on us over a holiday weekend and answered questions we had about additional problems that arose from the antibiotics. We felt supported and knew our baby was in great hands. I totally agree with the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." We're so glad Stapleton Peds is part of our village!

I have to fire Colorado Kids Pediatrics. My son has had iron deficiency anemia for *three years*…read moreand they never wondered why it wasn't getting better, even after oral supplementation. He's a super compliant kid, too - he took the pills. I was the one who had to ask for a hematology referral because they didn't ask themselves why an otherwise healthy BOY (not menstruating) would be iron deficient. He also had an elevated liver enzyme lab in February. There was no recommendation for follow up, so again, I had to have them order a repeat test to see if there was a trend. It took *6 phone calls* for them to put the order in correctly. The lab resulted with another elevated ALT. This is a meaningful indicator that he could have NAFLD, a totally treatable liver condition...if it's recognized. You bet your bottom I'm not going to follow up with Colorado Kids Pediatrics. I'd just have to tell them what the next steps are and what labs to put in. I'm so mad; why aren't they able to do their job? If I wasn't a provider myself, he wouldn't be getting appropriate treatment for his iron deficiency and the elevated ALT would have gone unnoticed.

Stop searching. You found the one. I am so incredibly grateful to Amanda at Mamahood for helping me…read morewith my lactation support because my initial lactation consultant made me feel and believe that my nursing journey was over it like six weeks. Now I'm going on eight months of nursing, my baby thanks to Amanda's help. Amanda helped me with a newborn and continue to help me with our baby. I'm not even sure how Mamahood doesn't have five stars. I went through lactation support groups and classes and had a different lactation consultant before finding Mamahood and struggled so hard. I wish I would've started with Mamahood to begin with. I see a lot of other reviews that are upset because their baby got diagnosed with tongue ties from Mamahood and their pediatrician or another doctor didn't catch the tongue tie, but I'm here to say that Mamahood caught my babies ties EVEN though OUR PEDIATRICIAN didn't think my baby had them. Well, after we saw a pediatric dentist and got my baby's ties cut - everything was so much better. My milk supply went up and my baby was able to eat better even out of a bottle. Getting my babies ties cut was a really hard decision in the moment but one of the best decisions we've done for her and I am so thankful for Mamahood for leading me in the right direction.

In addition to having an adorable selection of maternity clothes- seriously going in makes me want to get pregnant again just so I can shop there- they have a delightful alcove of toys my son adores. I've been taking my almost 2 year old son to Toddler and Momma yoga on Friday mornings for almost 6 months and we love it! I my past before baby life I went to yoga classes several times a week, but now that I have a little guy and limited childcare, I've had to content myself to my daily quick morning practice. Although it's not the same as an adult class, it's a great opportunity to introduce a little one to yoga, and as mine says, "see babies and mommies" (and sometimes daddies too). I always appreciate how Miss Casey, the instructor, sets a casual, fun mood for the class with fun songs and movement for the kids. My son likes it too, and lately has been peppering our days with his favorite snippets from class, and ever time we drive by The Mama'hood, he points and says his name, followed by mommy go yoga. Which, when you're not quite 2, is a 5 star review for sure.

She has always been very responsive to my panicked calls (when is it not an urgent call, when your tiny baby is sick, even if it's "normal"?) She has also welcomed my questions/hesitations when it comes to some Western medicine norms, and she always offers holistic and research-based advice/thoughts/diagnoses. She even met me on a Saturday (not office hours) to give my girl the last of her three-day antibiotic shots for an ugly ear infection. Personally, she diagnosed and has helped treat issues I've had for years -- that a counselor, midwife, dermatologist, and naturopath didn't catch. While it is a younger and smaller practice, I'm definitely willing to overlook a less-than-friendly receptionist who answered the phone a few times or confusion with paperwork. The care and professionalism we've received when it really counts is invaluable to me. Update (Feb 2018): she no longer has a frazzled receptionist. Leslie is always kind, warm, and welcoming! :)

I really don't understand anyone rating Dr. Shelley any more than one star....?…read moreI am new in town and looking to find a medical provider in my neighborhood and thought from this clinic's website that it would be a perfect fit. Yet it was a complete let down from the moment I called to make an appointment. It was hard to get in, the woman on the phone was rude and not helpful and then my appointment was not scheduled correctly. Dr. Shelly was not any more impressive. Unfortunately, she was very impersonal, did offer a natural and holistic approach I was looking for and rushed me out of her office. I'll keep looking for someone that will offer me more than 15 minutes of their time. I wasted a $30 copay on 15 useless minutes.

I'm sharing this review because I believe new graduates deserve a fair opportunity to learn, grow,…read moreand become comfortable in their first healthcare position. As a recent Medical Assistant graduate, I accepted this position excited to finally begin my career. I was willing to learn, take feedback, and put in the effort to become a strong member of the team. Unfortunately, I did not feel that I was given a fair chance to do that. What was especially frustrating was going through training and having my time invested, only to ultimately be told that I was not the "right fit." I was also told, essentially, that I was not the person they had interviewed. I found that extremely hurtful because I felt like opinions about me were formed before people had actually taken the time to know me or give me the opportunity to prove myself. There were also communication issues that made the experience even more frustrating. For example, I was told I was 30 minutes late, but I had been told by Laura to come in at 8:30. I explained that I had not even been added to the Homebase app yet, so I did not have access to the schedule they were referencing. Instead of working through the communication issue with me, it became an argument. I also experienced what felt like a very unwelcoming work environment. I believe coworkers should be professional and respectful, especially toward someone who is brand new to the field. I was trying to find my place and learn, not walk into a workplace where I already felt judged. Being a new graduate does not mean I know everything. It means I am there to learn. I would have appreciated patience, clear communication, constructive feedback, and an actual opportunity to improve before a decision was made about whether I belonged there. I take responsibility for continuing to grow professionally, but I also believe employers have a responsibility to properly train and support new graduates. Unfortunately, I did not feel supported or given enough time to demonstrate what I could bring to the position. This experience was disappointing, especially because I entered healthcare wanting to build a career and genuinely hoped this would be a place where I could grow. I hope the clinic reflects on how it treats new graduates and considers giving future employees the fair chance that I feel I was not given.
