They place the keys in a VERY secure lockbox in an envelope with your name on it. You need a passcode to get into it, so it's not easy to break into. The drive to the resort was terrifying in the middle of the night, though, I will say. However, the unit itself was pretty cozy & I liked that it felt more homey than most modern & newer resorts trying hard to be fancy. It goes to show that you don't need a ton of expensive things to have a good vacation. I only docked a star because there were some things they didn't provide for a unit that's basically a 2-bedroom apartment: a dish rack, a vacuum (the place is fully carpeted), & steady internet service. The internet here is kinda spotty & keeps disconnecting every few minutes. I get that it's the mountains, but I also live in the mountains & it's not this bad. One of the locks on the screen door for the back balcony is also broken, which kinda sucks. Other than those minor things, it's a pretty good place to go for vacation & to get away from the world & be in nature. Lots of nature attractions all around. Pool is closed during COVID, tho, so don't get your hopes up.

Sager Real Estate

I can't say enough good things about our Realtor, Abby Walters! We had been searching for a second…read morehome in the Shenandoah Valley for quite a while. Our wish list was very particular and it was rare that any listing came even close to our requirements. Abby at Sager Real Estate was the perfect realtor for our situation. Since we normally live out of state, keeping informed about the market was a challenge, but Abby kept us up to date with email listings and phone calls. She understood what we were looking for, helped us focus our search in the right areas, and never tried to push her own listings or any property that wouldn't be a good candidate. After many months of looking, we identified some possibilities and flew up to Virginia for a look. Abby scheduled a day's worth of showings throughout the area and thoroughly researched each property in advance so she could answer any questions. It turned out that we didn't find our ideal place on that trip. No problem! Abby kept looking. More time passes and she puts together another group of homes. Again we flew up for a day's house hunting... and this time, we found the winner! From that point on, Abby handled the process quickly and painlessly from the initial offer through a smooth closing. Obviously we're very happy with Abby and her patience and professionalism. Our new home is a perfect fit. She's the best!
