I was introduced to Todd Hammond through a fellow veteran. I was struggling with VA getting my…read moreclaims right and understanding the process. I have a law degree, but don't practice. I still haven't figured the VA system out if that tells you anything. I was also getting jerked around by Social Security as a 100% P&T veteran with SMC ratings as well which were affective before my last insured date. Todd Hammond has been amazing at helping navigate this system, getting my claims corrected, taking on SSA and helping me with other legal matters dealing with military related issues. Todd has a way of making your evidence gathering almost therapeutic. I would recommend Todd Hammond to any veteran or civilian looking to make sure the VA and SSA don't postpone your benefits costing you benefits you paid into and have earned through service or employment. The government treats disabled people worse like they are enemies, and the system is beyond broken and corrupt. You need an attorney and Todd is the one. Please do yourself a favor and contact Todd Hammond today and save yourself the feelings of betrayal by the government, frustration, pain, financial hardship and other dehumanizing behavior at the hands of our disability system and federal government.

He helped me win…read moredisability benefits in 2014, four years after I submitted my claim and after working with a few other attorneys. I remember our first meeting. Todd was warm and friendly and offered a direct assessment of my case. Even with overwhelming medical records supporting a disability claim, some people win benefits, and some don't. It's a flawed and subjective system, but Todd fought for me every step of the way and helped me win my benefits. I couldn't ask for a better attorney to stand with me. Now it's 2022, and I received a letter from the SSA saying it needs to review my medical records to determine if I'm still disabled. I hadn't contacted Todd for years, but he responded to my email within minutes and answered my questions regarding the letter. Based on my experiences and his track record, I recommend using Todd Hammond as your disability attorney.

I recommend having nothing to do with this firm. Rex J White was the ''attorney'' ''working'' for…read morethem firm at the time. I have character limit here so I cant go in to full details, but a quick summery of my experience with this man and the challenges I would have had, if I had tried to sue him go like this.. I was the victim of housing discrimination, by both a property management company and a BOLI agent but I was able to prove it because I had recorded all my calls with the property management company and agent. Rex bragged to me about making this company settle out of court many times. (Mind you I am disabled and was basically bed ridden, and he knew I was up against the statute of limitations ) He came to visit me with another trainee lawyer named Dallas. I am guessing he lied to me on the phone because he referred to Dallas as his assistant. He listened to the evidence I had given him. In short the property management company claimed to have denied me housing due to my demeanor. However I was nothing but polite, kind and soft spoken in every encounter I had with them and not just them, I try to be that way with everyone I deal with, especially if I am trying to get favor from them. I mean that's just common sense, who is going to do something nice for you if you are not mindful of their feelings? Rex sees everything and tells me he will send me a contingency agreement and a draft of the settlement demand, mind you I am now wrapped up with him just based on the fact that I trusted him and his mother was the secretary for the firm he was working for close to two months. With almost two weeks left to go he sends me a rejection letter and denies all the above. So I go about it on my own and basically taught myself how to be a lawyer online and as Trump would say I won BIGGLY lol I love karma. But the problem is if I try to sue Rex he may argue that he didn't damage me and that I am clearly a better litigator then he could ever hope to be and that I was better off in my hands than his...

Unfortunately, her firm continues to engage in actions that have violated my and my children's constitutional rights. I've made multiple good-faith efforts to communicate with her about these issues, but she has so far refused to hold her staff accountable, and instead has relied on tactics that have suppressed fundamental rights and contributed to procedural violations in two states. I truly hope she turns this situation around, because if she does, she has the potential to be not just a great lawyer, but a super-lawyer -- one worthy of far more than five stars. For now, though, I remain cautiously hopeful.

1-Star Review Our…read moreexperience with Mai Vang at Johnson & Taylor in Salem, Oregon was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, deeply unprofessional. I would not recommend her as an attorney. I was a young single mother for 8 years, and Ms. Vang represented me for approximately ten months in a case involving custody, parenting time, and child support. During this time, the children's father had gone as long as eight months without seeing the children, and prior to that his involvement was extremely limited--at most two hours per week. Despite this history, I was repeatedly told that I had no realistic options other than agreeing to a 50/50 parenting plan by Ms. Vang. She was a big push over during hearings allowing opposing counsel to make the narrative they wanted without objection. Given the significant history of abuse that both my child and I experienced, I requested multiple safety provisions to be included in the temporary parenting plan. I knew Ms. Vang is fresh out of college and chose to give her an opportunity as she assured that she had significant experience with high conflict cases and cases involving narcissistic counterparts. None of those requests were meaningfully considered or incorporated into the temporary parenting plan. I did not feel advocated for, supported, or protected. I felt pressured into agreements that did not reflect the reality of our situation or prioritize my child's safety. Without consulting me, Mai Vang scheduled a trial date after a hearing with the judge and opposing counsel. Then, just four weeks before trial, she chose to withdraw from my case after I expressed a desire to work with a professional experienced in creating parenting plans for high-conflict cases in preparation of the trial she scheduled after my disappointed with her work in the past 10 months. I was left completely on my own, four weeks before trial, to navigate an extremely complex and emotionally charged situation. In my opinion, this was highly unprofessional. I spent thousands of dollars on retaining her and keeping her as my attorney for her to leave me hanging even after providing the worst service ever. She also proceeded with hearings she was unprepared for. She showed up to the court room with ungroomed hair and an unprofessional look with three natural grocers totes full of paperwork. She didn't measure up to opposing counsel. Evidence I had provided was either not submitted correctly or dismissed because it did not meet evidentiary requirements. I was never informed that the evidence I submitted needed to be in certain formats to be accepted she should have done her due diligence and requested the correct court accepted formats. Nor were my witnesses adequately contacted or prepared. In one instance, the judge indicated he would likely approve a no-contact order but not the stalking order as submitted. Despite this guidance, Ms. Vang proceeded in a manner that did not reflect the judge's feedback and failed to present critical evidence effectively. After later consulting with another law firm, I was told that going from zero parenting time to 50/50 parenting time is unheard of. Then withdrawing from a case so close to trial and failing to prepare evidence in this way was highly unprofessional. Overall, I felt misled, unsupported, and poorly represented. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this attorney to anyone involved in a high-conflict custody case or who needs strong, prepared, and proactive advocacy.
