A young gentleman approached us and started showing us beds based off what we told him we were looking for. These are not cheap beds and they are good brands, and when the young gentleman found out we were looking to buy two sets he hurried off to get his manager to assist us instead, which is fine but he was doing great on his own. When the manager had reached us I already knew what I wanted and we browsed a little longer before making our way to write up the order. Delivery could have been same day if we wanted it but I needed time to clear one of the rooms out. My two bed sets ended up being about $1600.00 (from knowing what normal sales looks like at a mattress store, this was a very good sale.) I am very happy with the beds and purchased the mattress covers/protectors as warranty for 10 years against stains. I am getting to my issue now though. Bear with me. When the beds arrived the guys brought everything inside and helped us get rid of my old mattress, I gave them a tip and they left. It was after then when I went to set up my beds, I noticed they didn't give me the mattress protectors for either bed. So I called and was informed by the store associate that because the mattress covers were complimentary (they were not- I know for a fact I paid for them,) I would have to come back at a later date because they were out of stock on the queen size (but not the king size so why didn't they send that one along?) I don't live next door to the storefront so it did cause me an inconvenience to come back for the two covers. They also told me itd be two weeks til they got the queen size in stock but it was magically there when i went to pick up the king size. Some people would say this in its entirety is a minor issue and some would be a pain about it. I just want to put an honest review up of American freight- very happy with my beds and warranties but you definitely get what you pay for- these weren't cheap. Just wish everyone was on the same page there, (if the protectors were complimentary they owe me some money LOL) and that I didn't have to make a second trip out there for something someone else forgot or had on order. Short version: Do some research on beds before you buy at any store but all in all we love the beds and even our guests agree. Just a little concerned about the confusion regarding product knowledge or pricing, and make sure you have gas in your tank.

I was a first time buyer and ordered a brand new side-by-side refrigerator from the Clearwater…read morelocation #4185 at the beginning of January 2023 and after a two month wait it was ready for delivery. They didn't call me so I called them and it had arrived. They must only deal with dented and damaged appliances, but I thought I was waiting 2 months and getting a new undamaged item. I pre-paid the full amount for the merchandise when I ordered but the delivery charge is a separate transaction as they use a third-party trucking company which wasn't a problem as they called ahead and arrived on time. I met the delivery driver curbside as they unboxed the item to find significant damage beyond repair. I've posted the photos of the damage so you could have a good laugh! I refused shipment and immediately as the damage was catastrophic. The salesman agreed to refund both the purchase price and shipping charge and send me an email receipt but that never happened......too busy with customers. You're only as good as their next sale! After looking closely at the photos of the damage I concluded that the refrigerator was damaged before it was packed for shipping as the packing material wasn't damaged on the outside...in other words they knowingly shipped me a damaged refrigerator after waiting 2 months. It looks like it was poked by a forklift and dropped to a concrete floor. Unless you're feelin' lucky, avoid this company like the plague!

We were greeted by a very knowledgeable sales person who made us feel completely comfortable. We ended up buying a Temperpedic with all of the bells and whistles. Not expecting that I would have a mattress issue with this new bed I placed a call to the store and they are now sending a new mattress no questions asked. We were greeted by Jeffrey Slaton, and informed him what we were looking for, and what our size limitations were. He directed us to several different sets, and we had decided on one particular set. Jeffrey then went to check to see if it was in stock, with my wife in tow. While they were busy doing that, I continued to look around, and spotted a set we hadn't seen before. I sat at it, and thought it would be the perfect set for our dining area. When he and my wife came back to find me, I suggested it to my wife, and she agreed it would suit our home dining space. We also purchased a bench to go with the dining set, and a desk. Jeffrey was very courteous, very accommodating, answered all our questions, and most of all, didn't pressure us into making a decision. We would definitely shop at The Furniture Warehouse in Ellenton again, if we have any future furniture needs. They have a great selection at many different price points.

We were buying two $900/each recliners then were told it would be $149 for delivery. To soften the blow he said that would cover all purchases for a year. We then decided to also purchase a chair and a couch. Well, they added on another $50 delivery. What? He had just said it would cover all orders for 12 months. Nope. The couch was a floor model so it adds on another $50. One of the back corners had the back loose for the about 10 inches towards the top. The salesperson said he would have someone there staple it back. When we received the couch, the upper portion of the back had indeed been restapled. However, the rest of that corner below that was flopping open. Someone who said she was in charge of the repair dept. at corporate called and said that they would do nothing to correct it. She said that it was a floor model, therefore we had implicitly accepted any and all damage. That seems like a pretty nasty response. Doubly so since it was NOT damaged like that when we bought it.
