Penny wise and pound foolish. My mom says that and I see it firsthand here at this salon…read more Apparently this salon needs the $150 more than I do, so consider it my contribution to the cause. I booked an appointment around 6 PM for the next morning, had an unexpected situation come up, and canceled at 7 AM when they opened. They charged me $150. Their website says 12 hours in one place and 24 hours in another, so apparently I also needed a time machine. I left a Google review, then still called twice trying to resolve it. No return calls. Instead, I got an email and a public response accusing me of "purposely trying to harm the business." Since they prefer responding to reviews instead of returning phone calls, here I am on Yelp. The funniest part? After all that determination to keep the $150, I now have to dispute the charge, so they may not even get to keep it.

I was also having trouble because a lot of artists have a minimum requirement to book, and here I was, a bride without bridesmaids. But then, my mother-in-law found Jen at The Hair and Makeup Bar and she was just such a godsend! Not only is her price point fair but she is amazing at what she does and she is so kind and accommodating. My mother-in-law and some other family members decided to get their hair and makeup done as well and Jen offered to go to their hotel first on the day of the wedding and then to my Airbnb to do my hair and makeup. This helped eliminate the stress of driving on the day of my wedding. And even though we had 2 trials to nail down the look, it was SO humid on the day of the wedding that we decided to go with a different hairstyle. I was a little nervous since I don't usually wear my hair up, but Jen absolutely nailed the look! I got so many compliments and everyone kept saying I looked like princess Jasmine! If you need your hair and/or makeup done for a special event, I highly recommend Jen at The Hair and Makeup Bar!

I even bought the recommended shampoo and conditioner by Marcela to maintain the results, but it made no difference. When I confronted Marcela about the fact that she likely never used the Ybera Paris products I paid for, she blocked my number completely. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also dishonest and deceptive. Bella Donna Hair salon is promoting and charging for premium products they are NOT using, which is outright fraud and a breach of trust. I tried to resolve this amicably, but after being ignored and then blocked, I'm left no choice but to take legal action. I am now filing complaints with consumer protection agencies and the official Ybera Paris distributors to expose this scam and protect other clients from being ripped off. DO NOT trust this salon if you want honest service and real results. Beware. Make sure they mix everything in front of you!!! Tell them you want to see the product!
