His ability to work with dogs is very innate - I feel like he could moonlight as a trainer too! My dog is very energetic and easily distracted but Max was able to get her to focus on him so that the perfect images were captured. From our initial meeting, I felt comfortable with Cynthia and knew she was someone I would want to have at our wedding. My instincts proved to be dead on when guests commented on how nice, polite, and unobtrusive she was throughout the events. We ended up with over 1000 images, a mix of formals and candid shots, just like we wanted. i booked helen because my friend hired her for his wedding, and after our wedding another friend of…read moremine decided to hire her because of us. that basically tells you helen is the type of person you can trust and want to work with. she was in our price range, but i heard she's gone up (understandable, since her work seems to be getting better and better). you can decide for yourself if she's your style - all the weddings she's shot are on her website/blog. as a person, helen is very sweet and soft spoken. on the day of my wedding, i felt completely at ease with her, even though we only met twice. she was generous with her services and went above and beyond what i hired her for. she volunteered to lend me some poles to use for a backdrop i wanted to make, and afterwards she helped my friend disassemble and clean up the reception hall (what photographer does that?!). a lot of photogs hold your photos hostage for up to a year. helen got everything edited and uploaded online for us to view in a matter of weeks, and mailed us our pictures on a DVD shortly after. i was married in September, and was able to use our wedding photos on our holiday cards/thank you notes. i'm pretty sure not many people can say they've done that. so, thank you helen.

Before our first meeting, we told her we'd be having a traditional Pakistani wedding that would be spread over two days. We were very pleasantly surprised when she came to the meeting well researched about Pakistani wedding customs and came prepared with great questions. We met another time in person before the wedding to look over the Venu and discuss the schedule for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Tomoko and her husband Steve did a fantastic job covering the entire event including my preparations(makeup etc), photo shoot with my husband and the reception. They were both very involved in the events and actually reminded my mother about a ceremony which we were supposed to have later during the reception but had forgotten about. Her photos were basic, unimaginative, lacked creativity, artistry and the ability to capture the subject in the frame of the camera.
