Once, when I went in to pick up my paycheque, it wasn't printed with the others for whatever reason, which was fine. However, when I asked when it would be ready, the company's owner rounded on me and made disparaging remarks to me, basically telling me it was my fault somehow and that they sure wouldn't want to inconvenience my super important life. She made me feel very small and upset, simply for wondering when I would be paid. Or there's the time I was brought into the office and accused of stealing from a client, made to feel like a criminal, and they wouldn't believe me when I said I didn't do it. I told them I wasn't even there. They hadn't even checked my schedule...I wasn't at that house at all the week the incident happened. Once they discovered that, granted, she apologized, but they could have at least looked at the schedule they made, and the whole thing could have been avoided. It bothered me for a long time. They also have a habit of hiring you, giving you lots of hours for a year or so, then your hours drop to next to nothing. I was only getting an hour a week. They fired me for 'not working enough hours' despite constant calls asking for more work. In conclusion, I'd give them less than one star if that were possible. 4 out of 5 PSWs agree, Nightingale Nursing treats their employees like hot garbage juice. Will never recommend.
