This school is by every means awful! If you want your time and education wasted well then walk rite on in to Audeo Charter School. I have delt with the educational system in Hawaii ( which is pretty darn bad) but it was never as severe and to the extent to which the faculty at this Mcdonalds chain of schools went. The teachers at this particular chain of schools changes every six months or so, so if there's a discrepancy that needs to be worked out in legal matters you can be sure you will never see the teacher you were originally assigned to . Here my letter that I will be faxing / sending To the California Department of Education Special Education Division. Dear California Department Of Education Special Education Division; My name is Hope . I attended Audeo Charter School( Mira Mesa Division) in the year 2010 - 2011. My primary teacher was Ms.Grey( whom no longer works there) . The primary reason I am writing this complaint is due to the fact that Ms. Grey promised me a scholarship for the General Education Degree once I successfully completed there General Educational Degree Preperation Program. Apoun enrolling to Audeo Charter School she told my mother and I both , If I completed there program which was about six months I would be eligible to write to a local scholarship program that go by the name " The Good Guys" . I verbally consented to join their program under the condition my General Education Degree would be paid for. Six months later, I was ready and very prepared to take the General Education Degree . I scored above average on all the preparation tests. I had also written for the scholarship in the beginning of my enrollment . It took "months to get approved to get the scholarship" according to Ms.Grey so I waited and.... waited and even when I became eligible by age to take it I still could not take it because I apparently did not get the scholarship . I was well over prepared to further my education. Then Ms. grey did a few odd out of sort and questionable things. She told me, this Scholarship program I had written my life story to, had something happen at there company and they fired everyone and in the process losing my scholarship. Ms. Grey then told me she as well had no copy of the letter and that I would have to re write it. Then she made me fill out a forum giving there charter school more money from the government for me attending there school. I am a child of someone in the united states Navy so they were able to receive extra funding for me . I believe this school robbed me , and they robbed me of my education. For a school to do this to somebody that has essentially nothing is unfathomable and grotesque. Being clinically diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder and depression not getting the scholarship led me into a remmission of depression. As well, the Fact that I was assisting my ill mother raise her 3 newborn tripletsbecause my step father was deployed on a 9 month tour to Bahrein led me to drop out of this school. ( which Ms. grey was activly aware of because I would come into school with 3 hours of sleep from the night before taking care of children ,and still be functional enough to complete my work) 4-5 Months Following dropping out , Ms. grey and various other people whom I had never seen in my life invited themselves in to my home to further interrogate me and fill out their paperwork explaining to their heir-achy why Hope Elena Sardella does not attend school. Well it is because the educational system has failed me , robbed me, and kicked me in the dirt. While ms. Grey sits and makes good salary jumping from charter school to charter school robbing luring , and lying to other low income struggling families NOT educating! In this meeting Ms. Grey's only attempt to help me was to push me off as someone else's problem to this program called the TRACE program, which I went to and a man referred to another office. We recently made the tough decision to transition our kids to a Charter school, and at first, I felt overwhelmed by the thought of starting an entirely new registration process. Thankfully, after connecting with Vielsy Monteiro, all of that stress quickly disappeared. My experience here was life changing. When I started at Altus Schools Audeo I was discouraged and did not think I would complete high school, but with Altus Schools I completed all 4 years and finished early! My teacher was Macy Vedder and she helped me overcome a lot of my fears and persuaded me to attend my graduation ceremony and complete a dual enrollment college course, which I am glad I did. Now, I am attending college to become a veterinarian which has always been my dream.
