Quick look rating: 5/5 Quality, 5/5 Service The Altitude O2 Oxegen Bar sits at the foot of the base of Purgatory Ski Resort among the other cute little shops of the resort. It is roughly about 15 miles north of Durango, Colorado in southwest CO. Talk about a truly needed product is fresh oxygen! We all need to breath, right? There are some folks out there that have a tough time, or even get what is called a altitude sickness, and just knowing that this place exists is a true blessing! Several of my relatives and friends have double with altitude sickness. It comforts me to know that this place is around. We have always had to help them by slowly acclimating them to the altitude slowly, and having them take Gatorade and bananas. I have seen them be out for days at a time just from the altitude. A great suggestion of those of you that are throwing parties or get togethers with friends and family at an event is to go ahead and call the Altitude Bar to come out to your event. What harm could it do? If someone at the party starts to have a little trouble breathing, wouldn't ease your mind to have them standing by just in case? If you have those folks that really push themselves with exercise and altitude, this is a gem of a place to know about. ***To note: Always call them ahead of time to make sure that they are around or in advance for your events! They have several flavors, but I can not remember them, I just thought that this is a great place to know about! Bookmark this place if ever needed!
