The studio is in a building on St-Catherine - quite easy to find. There was nice natural light in the space, with a cute mural right outside the window. The studio was cozy, with a dedicated table for hair and another for makeup. We started with hair, which was gently curled strand by strand with heat protection and minimal fixative for soft curls that held all day. Then we shifted to the makeup station. We started with skin prep, which was light and comfortable. The eyes were done very naturally, as I requested. Fake lashes (20$ extra) were comfortable and sturdy. Last were my lips, which were given a lovely light color. What I appreciated the most was the care for matching the natural tone of my skin. Sophie is really talented and fun to chat with. Time flew by super fast! I was really satisfied with my experience. Definitely more expensive than makeup at home, but some occasions just call for professionals, don't you think?

It's a pity that I can't give a negative rating (minus) for such terrible service and attitude…read moretowards the customer! I have been visiting this salon for over 10 years and when the owner changed (less than 1 year ago) I was very upset because Kim was a very nice and professional master. But after I was assured on the phone that everything would be done no worse, I came and was really very happy with the result. Lam is a very qualified master!!! And all the more so, all the subsequent events look very dirty and dishonest! I have been using acrylic nails for over 20 years due to necessity. Depending on time and money, I visit the salon not every 2 weeks (as RECOMMENDED, not REQUIRED), but usually 4-6 weeks. And I have never had any problems with even a less qualified technician. I sometimes did nail renewal once a year and everything was fine and everyone was happy! I had a normal relationship with Lam, or so it seemed to me. One day he decided to change my nails, although I asked him to do only a refill, I was surprised, but kept quiet. And in vain. And then at the beginning of December I noticed that he was doing a refill in some other technique. When saying goodbye, I said that I would come before the New Year. Lam, laughing, answered that "we will see each other soon". A week later, 2 of my nails flew off, for no reason. When I came, he just hid and another girl did these nails for me. I paid, since it was not her fault. A week later, I lost 2 more nails! Apparently, this is how Mr. Lam decided to fix the problem of frequency of visits and earning money!!! When I came to the salon, he was busy with another client and I said that I would wait. When he was free and I started making claims against him, he started running around the salon and yelling that I come once every 3-4 months and that's why my nails are falling off. But this is complete nonsense!!! Everyone who does this procedure understands that it is impossible. In the end, he said that he would not do anything and that I should go to another salon. How is that? I sat for an hour and should leave with nothing? Then another master did everything for me, I paid, although she did not want to take it (Lam said not to take it). But I also do not want to be indebted to a dishonest person. Lam is also dishonest in that he never talks about a 15% discount at the beginning of the week! It has already been written here (in previous reviews) about the violation of work ethics. Here there is simply a rude attitude towards clients and impudence in making money by any means. I think this case deserves publicity in consumer protection agencies! And I will try to do everything so that this person loses his license to provide services. I do not recommend this salon to anyone! And I will wait until a more adequate owner appears there!

You have to exit the terminal and then re-enter departures to get to this salon. However, if you do not have a boarding pass, you cannot enter departures. Behind some screens you will find two massage chairs surrounded by some extra seating, and staffed two very helpful and professional individuals. I realized that I've walked by this little outpost of tranquility many times without even realizing that it was there (usually because I was running late for a flight). After weeks of traveling, my back was in pain, and curiosity got the better of me. John greeted me warmly, asked me what was going on and how he could help, and most importantly what time my flight was. We agreed on a 40-minute chair massage finding and working out numerous knots and may have been the only thing which allowed me to survive another flight in Delta's little CRJ torture machine. While the place may not look like much, looks in this case are very deceiving. Go in and have something good go on behind your back for once. Hey - you should get to the airport early, right? Reward yourself for it. FYI - if you're not flying from the US Terminal, Airspa has outposts in the Domestic Terminal at Gate 5, and International Terminal at Gate 53. Enjoy!
