Dr. Rathe, in addition to being a great Acupunturist, offers NAET treatment for reversing food sensitivities and allergies.

Dr. Tsoi may have opened energy channels but made me feel anxious. Constantly saying I was "sick"…read morelooking at my eyes and tongue, only to charge me for more visits and get me to buy more of that horrible tea. I sat months listening to him tell everyone the same line. "Eat green veggies, lose weight, drink his tea." While he may work wonders for others, I wasn't impressed by his treatments.

Other doctors I had seen before and since have had no idea. Dr. Tsoi immediately recognized a severe imbalance that Chinese Medicine called yin deficiency that relates to bad blood flow and bad kidney function. He treated me five days a week for a while and had me drink lots of tea and take herbal supplements. The pain came down quickly and I no longer needed crutches and could live pretty normally. We went to 3 days a week, then one day. Sometimes pain relief is immediate, but sometimes it takes time. It took five years to get close to normal health despite continual improvement. For fifteen years, I have only gone once a month or every few months. I have stopped altogether for a few years at times, but my problems start to return. I am fairly sure my underlying condition is incurable, but acupuncture, herbs, and cupping help my body stay balanced despite that. I can even exercise now like a normal person without worrying about injury. Many health problems are probably caused by systemic imbalances that Western medicine can't treat but TCM (and other holistic medicines) can. If you have a chronic problem, give TCM a chance. I have also seen Dr. Chan a number of times over the years, and she is great, too. They have such a deep understanding of TCM. Sure, it makes no sense to Westerners, but it is backed by thousands of years of practice to help the body restore health naturally.

The Unabridged Review: In January 2020 I sought out Dr. Handler for Active Release Therapy due to iliopsoas tendonitis. Originally, I intended to receive 12 office visits with him; however, COVID19 interrupted those plans, and managed to get eight visits in before NYS went on "pause." That being said, Dr. Handler helped me by providing the ART treatments themselves, as well as specific exercises to be done at home. Additionally, Dr. Handler also provided cupping therapy, as well as chiropractic adjustments as part of my treatment plan. During the shut down, the exercises at home, along with the "contact avoidance" I was avoiding grabbing railings to get up and down stairs, I have experienced a more pronounced improvement in my conditions. While my issues aren't 100% resolved (and doubtful they ever will be completely 100% resolved), Dr. Handler was able to provide effective pain relief and improved mobility in a more obvious way where ART from another practitioner, as well as various injections from physiatrists failed. Dr. Handler is a capable and caring chiropractor, who is open/receptive to input/feedback from his patients, and has a pleasant personal demeanor and conversational style. Other things worthwhile sharing: Pricepoint: I found his office fees to be reasonable, especially given the level of care and attention provided.
