Da es der Wirt mit der Getränkesteuer nicht allzu genau nahm, wurde der "Schwanen" urkundlich festgehalten. 1669: Der Barockmaler Matthäus Zehender wohnt von 1669 bis zu seinem Tod 1697 in diesem Haus und arbeitet auch hier. Das Haus ändert seinen Namen. Einmal heißt es Gasthaus "Adler", dann "Café Braun" und "Neue Welt". 1890: Das Haus wird zum "Café Central" umgebaut. In dieser Zeit wird auch die "Zirbenstube" eingerichtet und der Festsaal im 1. OG. Für Jahre heißt das Wirtshaus "Deutsches Haus". 1919: Das Haus schrieb immer wieder Geschichte. So wurde hier am 30. April 1919 über die Eingemeindung von Rieden und Vorkloster abgestimmt. Die für den darauffolgenden 4. Mai 1919 anberaumte Volksabstimmung ging positiv für die Eingemeindung aus. 1945: Die steirische Brauerei Gösser kauft das Haus. 1946: Im GösserBräu wird 1946 über den Verbleib der Fluh bei Bregenz abgestimmt. Die Fluher Bevölkerung stimmte am 8. Dezember 1946 mit rund 90 Prozent für die immerwährende Vereinigung mit Bregenz. Die entsprechende Volksabstimmung in Bregenz fand am 8. Juni 1947 statt; auch die Bregenzer entschieden sich für die Vereinigung. 1983: Die Greber-Gastronomie übernimmt das GösserBräu. 2011: Die Greber-Gastronomie steigt aus und das GösserBräu schließt am 27.
