I am writing to formally demand that ALSET Auto honor the lifetime warranty provided for the Expel PPF (Paint Protection Film) wrap installed on my 2024 Tesla Model Y in February 2024. The installation was performed at your facility, and I paid for the service, including a lifetime warranty, to protect my vehicle's front bumper from damage. Unfortunately, the PPF wrap has failed to perform as warranted, and your refusal to address this issue violates the terms of the warranty and applicable Texas consumer protection laws.
Details of the Issue
In February 2024, I had the Expel PPF wrap professionally installed on my 2024 Tesla Model Y at your location. The purpose of the PPF wrap, as represented by ALSET Auto, was to protect the vehicle's front bumper from damage, including impacts from small stones and road debris. However, the PPF wrap has failed to hold up, exhibiting damage and failure when small stones hit the front bumper. This is precisely the type of damage the PPF wrap was supposed to prevent.
When I contacted ALSET Auto to address this issue, I was informed that the damage is not covered under the lifetime warranty, which is odd because I was given a 10-year warranty if the PPF failed for any reason. This response is unacceptable, as the warranty was marketed and sold to me as providing comprehensive protection for the PPF wrap against such failures.
