Got some boar, some truffle, some chili and some classic pork saucisse (the kind like salami). Also some saucisse de bière. France has suprisingly great saucisses for really good prices. Bought five for 20 Euros here. The munster cheese is really a must. To enjoy just like that, with some chutney or on top of some Flammkuchen. Love it. A great little shop. They also have a branch in Colmar with identical products.

I just loved this basement store, the handpainted ceramic tableware in the Alsace tradition, and many other kitchen items. I purchased the cutest Kouglof mold for a friend, wish I bought more but suitcase space was definitely at a premium. I picked out some Riquewihr ornaments, with the half-timbered buildings representative of this area. If you are in the Alsace region, you shouldn't miss this lovely village.

I got in and out in less than 10 minutes, which is likely the shortest time I've ever spent in Monoprix. The women's department appeared disheveled so I didn't seriously look for any clothes. While the hair/makeup/lotion are was incredibly well organized and stocked, I found their selection limiting. However, they nearly have an entire aisle of facial tissues! Probably wouldn't go back but I did get what I needed.

We tried to speak some French (a little effort goes a LONG way), but then he broke out nearly perfect English, LOL! The shop has tons of local wines that I'd never seen before, and they're beautifully stored and organized. We asked for some help for a nice local red, and the man suggested a few options that were in our price range (we didn't want to spend over 75 Euro). This would be a fantastic place to buy some unique wine to take home as souvenirs or, as in our case, to drink on the train the next day! If you're a wine lover (they sell spirits, too), make sure you take a moment to stop in and shop. La Sommeliere is also a fun place to browse if you're a fan of wine!
