It is magical to ride your bike in this valley and up the hill. I am 65 years old and managed the bike perfectly. It was a great family adventure with our adult sons are. The owners were very friendly. We had booked an afternoon session, but it was pouring rain, so they told us we could wait it out and start later. They also do not charge a late fee if you go for over two hours, which we were grateful for because we got lost amongst the islands, and it was a difficult journey to find our way back and paddle against the currents. I was grateful they provided us dry bags and recommended that we bring extra layers. The weather changed really quickly as it was sunny when we started and later became overcast, rainy, and cold. It was very windy, and the currents were strong (at least for me). I also fell in the lake, so it was nice to have dry clothes to change into. Something that did throw us off was that the Google maps location takes you to the office, while the launch site where they actually have the rentals out is a completely different place about a 15 minute drive away, so we had to backtrack after we got to the office and read the sign with the correct address.

Excellent condition, stable and super comfy. The young lady that worked there (didn't capture any names sadly) was just as helpful and sweet. I kayak quite a bit, but mainly on flat water, so the guide (whose name I sadly cannot remember) gave me a lot of paddling hints and taught me a lot about reading water conditions and how to approach water features. I will definitely be putting her advice into practice at home. My husband, who is less experienced, also had a wonderful time. I could not recommend this experience more!

We had our 11 year old and 3 year old with us (and 3 adults) and we weren't sure how the kids would do, but they absolutely LOVED IT!! They even jumped in the water at one point AND even got to help row a bit. :) We cannot wait to go back to CO and spend more time on the river. High Society Freeride stand up paddle boards (SUP's) are da BEST! We got a couple of Northstar SUP's about three years ago...it was a BOGO so we jumped on them and couldn't be happier! Each of these babies came fully equipped with a paddle, rear fin, ankle leash, repair kit, hand pump and a convenient storage backpack. NOTE: Ours are not the newest "Northstar 2" version...so upgrades include 2-piece collapsible aluminum paddles, new 7" center fin and one smaller 4.5" composite river fin with new "Quick-Clip" attachments. Also, they've upgraded the travel & storage backpack with reinforced stitching and plush padded straps. All that being said...ours still ROCK! We love them, conveniently put them in the back of our vehicle and have taken them on so many fun adventures! Overall these SUP's are made extremely well for the price and High Society Freeride always offers super awesome deals! So awesome that they get swamped with orders!
