Now fast forward I have been living here(Royal Glen) for almost a year and I am still Happy with my decision to move here. I love the true Peace and Beauty my Home provides. I just signed a new lease because although I don't know what my next step may be. I get to figure it out in the comforts of my Royal Glen Apartment..Tiwa

Ive lived here for over 2 years. Since staff has changed, I haven't enjoyed living here as much…read more Here is a quick list of Pros and cons: Pros: -relatively quiet neighborhood (although the walls are REALLY THIN) -maintenance is decent and the units themselves are mostly taken care of. -rent is competitive (but utilities are crazy high) -option for in unit laundry is cool Cons: -Staff doesn't make it a priority to get back to you unless they need something relating money from you. Roxanne straight up ghosted me when I wanted to speak about a shorter lease. I have a corporate number now that I will use in the future. -dumpster cameras that surveil people are more important than managing parking -the walls are really thin and bedrooms are against your neighbors front door/living room. Also very disruptive when there's constant construction on a unit next to you. -see details below about how absolutely insane electricity is in the winter time -leasing office took my mail off my porch without asking. But I have video of the person taking it off my porch saying leasing spoke to me. Not true. -parking is very limited even if you get a paid pass. I've had leasing mess up my parking pass several times, put a tow sticker on my car even and give away my spot to someone who just moved in because it wasn't recorded properly. As someone who travels for work a lot and is often gone for long periods of time, I'm glad I was even home to correct the situation or else a month or so's worth of tow fees would be unfortunate to have to try to figure out. -single sided sink with no dishwasher Electricity: You will pay crazy high rates for electricity in the winter. I tour for a living and don't set foot in my space for months at a time. I set my thermostat at 61° when I'm gone (the lowest setting) and still have $250 bill for a 500 square foot 1 bed apartment. This has been the case each month of this winter. Consumers and leasing don't seem alarmed by that. I even had it mentioned to me by the consumers inspector and maintenance that the heating units are too small and not meant for apartments. They're for hotels. This is crazy high and unfair considering I have no choice in energy providers and can't discontinue my service without consequence. It's a shame because I really love everything else about living here. But this is ridiculous. Management wont be giving any type of rent comp (which was their idea in the first place) saying that many other units are having the same issue. That seems indicative of a problem with the property. Judging by the huge icicles, insulation is an issue as well. I've never paid so much for a utility in my life. And they said that since their insulation efforts didn't change peoples bill, it's not their fault. Even though for me, them insulating my unit made my bill go from $300 to $270ish. Just a warning.

    1. Plumbing: Constantly had to make maintenance requests time and time again due to backed up pipes…read morewhere they would do a weak job and just end up blaming it on us when that ended up not even being the case. After about 5 requests, they finally called someone out to look deeper into the issue and found an old bracelet from before I even moved in. 2. Water: It was a luxury to be able to take a hot shower at any time of day. I can excuse not having warm water once or twice being in a complex, but our water was always FREEZING at all times of the day. The couple times we did have warm water we had to rush to either give the kids a bath, or give ourselves a shower. 3. "Updates": The floors, shower, and backsplash in kitchen are ALL peel off sticker tiles. It's so easy for the floors to get messed up by any and everything. The shower wall literally feels like a plastic board and was clearly not installed properly because there's air trapped behind it making it move. My point is.. the updates they made are a cheap joke. 4. Cost: The fact that a 2 bedroom here is almost $1,400 when the rooms are the size of a closet and we never even have hot water.... Embarrassing. 5. BUGS: Walls are infested with carpenter ants. We had wood shavings coming out of the cracks in the walls from the ants and see them all over the apartment. Even if we had one dish rinsed off in the sink, or one spot of anything on the counter there would be easily 80-100 ants all over the place. All they do is call the exterminator out and he sprays the repellent and leaves. It works for about 3-4 days and they just come back (it is CLEARLY an infestation within the walls). We also have an earwig problem. They are everywhere. It would probably help if the front door was sealed properly but don't get me started on that. 6. DEPOSIT: Once I moved out, they charged $100 for something that was damaged when I moved in. They also charged HUNDREDS for replacing a couple of the peel off floor tiles. They purposely charge outrageous amounts for cheap resources! 11/10 do not recommend Autumn Ridge Apartments.

Didn't give us a notice of move in and wouldn't let us finish out our month at our other place. She was so hurried to have us move in but the place wasn't even ready for us on our move in day. There was a giant leak in the ceiling from the shower so we couldn't shower for more than a week. Thankfully we still had our old place. Couldn't do laundry for two weeks because their washing machine that we pay for in rent was broken and couldn't fix in a timely manner. Made us pay 200 dollars for a cleaning fee for a cleaning service when half the place was gross and wasn't clean. Pretty sure the carpets weren't replaced as there were marks from furniture on it. Maintenance guy Frank is super nice, but they're never timely about getting anything fixed. I have to get everything in writing from her because she'll claim she never said anything or doesn't remember when she clearly did. Not the mention that they're supposed to give you a 24 hour notice but maintenance shows up unexpectedly all the time. I do not ever recommend wasting your money or time on this place. I love the area but will definitely find somewhere else in the area next time. Not worth all the stress. Again, never had a landlord this unprofessional or EVER had this many issues with one.
