I am submitting this review regarding my recent service experience with Ryan Foot and Ankle,…read morespecifically related to office and billing processes. In April 2025, I visited the Ballantyne office to purchase a new set of orthotic inserts. This was my second purchase from this practice, with my first pair obtained more than four years earlier. My clinical experience was excellent. Dr. Glaser provided outstanding care, and I have no concerns regarding the medical treatment received. The issue relates solely to billing and administrative handling. I chose to pay for the orthotics out of pocket rather than submit through insurance. I made two payments: an initial deposit and a final payment at the time I picked up the inserts. In June, I received a bill indicating a balance of $585. The statement showed three-line items: two billed to insurance and one reflecting my self-payment. After reviewing the statement with the billing company, I was informed that the charges were coded incorrectly and required correction by the office staff. I contacted the office twice to explain the issue. After the first call, I believed it had been resolved; however, I received another bill. I called again and reviewed the charges line by line. On July 12, 2025, I received a voicemail from April (which I still have) confirming that I did not owe any balance. She apologized for the lack of progress, stated that the billing manager was addressing the issue, and confirmed that all outgoing statements would be stopped. Based on this communication, I believed the matter was resolved. On December 10, 2025, I received a notice indicating the account had been sent to collections. I visited the office during normal business hours, but the staff was unavailable due to doctors being in surgery. Subsequent phone calls on December 18, January 13 and January 16 resulted in incorrect extensions, redirection to another location that could not assist, and missed opportunities to resolve the issue. I did speak with a staff member named Cristina, who was polite and attempted to help but was unable to resolve the matter. I also contacted the collections agency multiple times. They reached out to the office, and I was later informed by Jamie that there was no record indicating the issue had been resolved. This billing issue has been ongoing since June 2025. Despite multiple phone calls and an in-person visit, the error has not been corrected, and I have not received follow-up communication confirming resolution. My concern is not with the quality of medical care, which was excellent, but with the administrative and billing processes that led to an unresolved error and an account being incorrectly sent to collections.

Back again. They have a new location (since my last visit anyway). It's still as pleasant as…read morebefore. Even though I don't want to have to get a cortisone shot regularly, it's my "favorite" medical facility to go to. I don't dread visits here like I may at some other medical offices. Dr Glaser is super nice and doesn't rush with you. I don't feel like just a number or that I am being pushed out the door.

I hit my big toe last night and the nail raised to a 45 degree angle. They made an appointment for…read moreme and had the nail removed the same morning I called. They used a cold spray before numbing my toe. (I hate needles.) After it was numbed there was no pain at all. The doctor and nurse made me feel like they had known me for years and we were good friends. Any more foot problems, I will be back.

This review is specific to the location in Indian Land next to Harris Teeter. I am so so so…read moredisappointed in this visit and with the doctor. I have never had this bad of an experience with a professional doctors office. First, I had an appoint at 8:45 AM. I was not taken to the room for x-rays until 9:35 or maybe later. Waited another 10-15 minutes for the doctor to basically tell me NOTHING. He asked me really no questions. If I had not asked some questions...he would of basically said nothing. He offered me no information on my issue other than I have bunions. I already knew that. I had to ask are they bad enough to go through a surgical procedure. He simply shrugged as said...do they bother you or cause you pain. Well, no not all the time. If I walk a lot like at an amusement park or weekend shopping spree...yes they hurt. But they are also inconvenient as I cannot wear nice shoes or heals. How about tell me...."This is my opinion of the severity of your bunions. This is the process of correcting them. This is how long it will take to recover. I will have the front desk write up an estimate for you and/or submit to your insurance to see what they will cover. " But this NOT what occurred. When I asked the cost...he had no clue. He said insurance doesn't pay unless they hurt you...UMMMMM...yes they hurt. Plus he said that he had no idea what the cost of the actual surgical center would be as they bill separately. Ummm...UGH....hasn't your office done this before? If so there should be a general idea of cost for both parties. I basically felt he just wanted to come in look at my feet and x-ray and collected the $80 co-pay and send me on my way. So if that wasn't bad enough...another little annoyance that occurred...was the one of the office personal peaked in on my consultation when I already have been waiting over an hour for MY appointment to tell the doctor that whoever she was talking to would not look something up for her. I think she wanted him to come to the front desk at that moment and talk to this person on the phone. Luckily he told her he would be with her shortly...but REALLY...he is with a patient. That can wait until he is done seeing me. I really would NOT recommend this office or doctor. I want someone who can offer up something. At the very least an estimate for the procedure that is obvious I should have done.

I told her I've been to see a podiatrist and they did nothing to help. I needed to see an orthopedic surgeon but got no help there because they wouldn't even see me due to what her office said about me. To make matters worse, I have a Thyroid condition that I have to be on medication for daily. Dr. Adefabi had my blood drawn for tests but never sent in a prescription and now I'm 36 hours in without my medication. They're scrambling now to get it filled. What is really troubling to me is that she also had blood tests done on my cholesterol. She received that information that mine is high but she never contacted me. I saw the results in the paperwork mailed to me and had to call her office to ask what I should do. It's so unprofessional that it's amazing to me that there's an "MD" behind her name. Where did that come from?

I came to this office as a new patient in Sept 2018 and was never told my diabetes would be a problem. Only after multiple denials of prescription refills which put my life in imminent danger did I finally discover this unofficial policy of "no diabetics." And it took about 10 different phone calls and an office visit to finally get her to admit that they don't like treating diabetics in this office. Sorry you don't like prescribing insulin - I guess I'll just die then???
