Very professional and communicative! Jordan presented me with options and when I brought a quote from another lender, Jordan said he could match or beat it. They did, indeed! The underwriter was a bit slow, but Jordan was reassuring. No matter how many times I reached out in a day, Jordan was patient and responsive. Right before closing, he took a vacation out of the country. Jordan assured me I could still reach out. I was hesitant, but did and tried to keep communication minimal as not to disturb him. Anytime I reached out, he responded quickly, even being in a completely different time zone. I had a bump in the road - something came up in one of their consumer report checks and I thought my dream of buying a home was over. Jordan took care of it. He asked the company to remove it and they did! It took about two days and I felt back on track and ready to close. The interest rate I got matched the other lenders. Some of their fees seemed a bit high, however I was able to get a large enough loan to buy the house I knew my family and I wanted and needed. Mortgage Express sold my loan, however, I knew that going into the process. After closing, Jordan welcomed me to reach out to him with any questions and I did. He responded quickly and pleasantly. Mortgage Express did not make me feel like just another number. I would go through them again! From identifying the home I wanted to purchase and making an offer to closing was about 30 days exactly! I've heard horror stories about closing delays, but between my realtor, lender, and escrow company, they made it happen quickly! If you decide to go with Mortgage Express, a PHC (Portland Housing Center) partner lender, ask for Jordan. He is the best!!

As a first-time homebuyer, buying property felt complicated and difficult, but Loren was always timely in his responses and helped me navigate the process with as much ease as possible (including making it painless when I rescinded one of my offers). Not once did I feel pressured, and Loren waited to pull my credit until I was 100% ready -- which is not always the case with lenders. His knowledge about home vs. condo purchasing and off-the-cuff questions about insurance, etc. were reassuring at every step. Finally, I appreciated Loren's transparency about his commission and the timing for potential refinancing in a rapidly changing market. I would absolutely recommend Loren and cannot say enough good things about working with him.

My husband and I worked with broker Matt McHugh to secure a mortgage for our new home. When we…read morestarted the process, we thought we would have to sell the home we lived in before buying our dream home, and we would have to make a contingent offer upon the sale. But Matt devised a strategy we hadn't thought of before for us to keep our home as an investment property and rent it out. This put us in a position to make a cleaner offer without waiting for our home to sell. We had gotten into a bidding war with a few other people for our dream home and stuck our neck out as far as we could to make our offer the most appealing. Even though our offer was the lowest, the sellers ultimately chose ours because it was the cleanest offer, and there was no contingency. If Matt hadn't devised that strategy to keep our original home as an investment, we wouldn't have been able to purchase our dream home. Matt and his team were incredibly patient and helpful, always taking the time to explain complex financial terms in a way that was easy to understand. He connected us with a reputable lender, watched the rates closely, helped us jump on a quick drop in interest rates, and secured the best deal possible. Matt even showed up to our signing to help us celebrate! His guidance and support were crucial throughout the challenging process of obtaining a competitive loan. We genuinely appreciate Matt's expertise and hard work. Thank you, Matt!
