They told me that they would be calling me so I could meet them there to drop off sod, and they never did. Thank goodness for my video doorbell or I would have had no idea that they were there. Then, when it was time for them to pick up their pallets, an unmarked truck showed up at my house with no communication and men started breaking into my backyard and walking around. I would have been happy to get these to the curb if anything had been communicated to me. I then called the office and the "employee" proceeded to scream at me over the phone. I am not one to leave negative reviews but honestly spare yourself the heartache and go with someone else!

Someone I know moved to Utah recently, so it's the first time I've sent flowers to someone there. I always try to order through a local florist because they're usually better than the nationwide florist sites. The Gibby site had a lot of options, and I placed an online order for exactly what I wanted and at a reasonable price. I received my order confirmation, but then I received an email with a photo of the finished arrangement indicating it was ready for delivery. It was so nice to actually see what was being delivered. Most places that send a photo just send their standard photo from their website, so this is really a cut above. A short while later, I received a call from the delivery person. They were super nice and said they were at the delivery address but no one was home, no neighbors were home, and it was very hot outside so leaving them on the porch would probably ruin them. We chatted about options, she gave me the local temperature, and we decided that she would leave a note, take the flowers back to the shop, and try to deliver them again the next day. I just heard from the happy recipient that they have received the flowers and they are gorgeous. I really appreciated not only how beautiful the arrangement turned out, but how well Gibby's kept me updated on my order status with a completed photo, and the very caring and patient delivery person who made sure the recipient received my order in the best condition possible. I bet this was formerly a grocery store, meaning the interior is not giant, but they have a good mix of things. Upon first walking in, if you head to the very left of the store, you will find the cheapest stuff, some of it overstock, or more likely, expired or nearly so grocery items. A few examples: $0.25 gum or candy bars, $0.50 chips and other snacks, $1.00 cookies, nut butters, etc. Most of that is full of preservatives so you are probably safe if planning to consume right away. I nabbed a ton of gum, because what can even go bad in that, but follow your best judgment! Heading to the right from here, you will come across the standard grocery items, and many were the same price as a regular store, though still worth a look, as you never know what you'll come across. Bulk bags of flours, powdered milk and rice lie on pallets up front. Home goods live in the center, and there were some real surprises here: Instant Pots, Le Creuset stoneware sets, Keurig coffee makers, etc. Some of it is damaged or missing parts, so, like everything else in the store, do your due diligence and check it out, but there is a possibility for some real finds! Following that was some office/school supplies, baby items, toys, and finally clothing. The latter seemed to be poorer quality/no-brand as compared to the rest of the store, but it is still incredibly cheap if that is what you are looking for. They post specials on their Facebook page, so give them a follow if you live in the area.

First "the good"--This place has a great selection of things you won't find in a big box store…read more Folks are pretty helpful and the pricing is fairly reasonable. You'll pay a bit more than Lowes or Home Depot but for me it's worth it to get something you can't buy anywhere else. Next, "the OK"--the quality is so-so. I think some of their stuff spends a lot of time in the greenhouse. For example, their perennials are kind of leggy and their roses had "bloomed out" in early May--much earlier than they should. Shrubs and trees were better. Last, the "not-so-good"- Their return policy is pretty strict. They give you a pamphlet that shows you how to plant stuff and also has an entire page with their guarantee policy. Read the guarantee policy. There are all sorts of exclusions to their plant guarantee and you need to save the dead plant, tags and receipt. In addition, I purchased more plants than I needed (just in case) and luckily made it back within 48 hours (Apparently, you have 48 hours to return anything--even if it is still in the pot). Otherwise I would have been out of luck and even then, I didn't get a refund but store credit. Bottom line--this is a good place to purchase plants you can't get anywhere else but I'd go to the big box stores for the basics.

Although I've been a loyal customer since…read moretheir opening recent interactions have just left a really bad taste in my mouth and I feel that the customer service has really dropped off and left a lot to be desired. We had Hot Springs replace our pool liner last year due to a tree falling into the pool in a windstorm. Since I wanted everything new I purchased new fittings and trim pieces to go with the new liner not realizing they were included with the liner. No big deal. I'll just return them. Except their technicians took my parts when they left. By the time I sorted it out I was beyond my return window. To top it off the new liner leaked losing an inch of water per day. It took them a month and a half to finally seal the leak while they constantly kept trying to blame my light niche for the leak, which cost me another $80 needlessly on an underwater sealant. On top of that they failed to properly seat the edge of the liner into the rails and the liner pulled out after being filled. It took hours to stretch the liner back into place. The install technician told me they would credit me back for my extra expenses and hassle. But when I went in to settle up....no credits at all. Refused to reimburse for the $80 sealant. Refused to credit for the parts they took and were now in their inventory to use and beyond my return window. Refused to credit for the water loss. Instead they returned the parts to me which I have zero use for until I replace my liner again and still wouldn't need because they come with the liner. I've literally spent thousands at this business as well as trying to promote them because I believe in supporting small business and they don't seem to care. If that's how you treat loyal customers then you don't deserve loyal customers. I'll take my business where it's appreciated.
