If you need assistance with dental issues for your child... go somewhere else…read more Took my 6 year old there for a cleaning in early June. She was seen in California but once we moved we decided to try this office. Brought her in and the care was fine, it wasn't anything super great. Found out she had a few cavities that needed taken care of and one on her molar that needed extra attention. No big deal, as a parent I was an idiot to think my child this young could handle brushing on her own . Went up to the front and they scheduled her appointment with High Plains Surgical Center to just do everyone in one bang. It was set for August 22nd. I was encouraged by the dentist to do it this way as "too many sessions and the child starts to not take the experience too well." I realized later on that the next day would be the first day of school. I called them and asked for it to be rescheduled because she has never been put under anesthesia before and I didn't want to risk her missing her first day. I told them that anytime before the 22nd was perfectly fine. I was told I would be called back to talk to the lady that was scheduling those appointments and that she would call back right away. I waited for days on a call back and it didn't happen. I called them again and left the voicemail letting them know I was still waiting. The lady who does scheduling called back and stated "well we tried to call you" which wasn't true. She proceeded with rescheduling and told me there was no availability until September 25th. And I'm thinking dang! They want her to wait 3 months? Whatever. I took the date and she said I would be put on a cancellation list. Fast forward end of July and the molar had gotten infected. It was swollen, red, looked like there was a zit on her gum. Since it was a Sunday I took my daughter to urgent care to get antibiotics started. Got amoxicillin and went home intending to call them the next day. I called them and let them know that her tooth is now infected and needs to be address as soon as possible. The receptionist told me she would call me back and let me know what they could do. 8 days later... no call back. On the 8th day of the 10 day dosage I woke my daughter up and noticed her face was swollen and she was itchy. Clearly she was having an delayed allergic reaction (as I did her age) and promptly took her to the ER. She was treated and then we went home. I called the office again and let them know hey, she has now had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics and would really like to bring her in to be seen so there is a visual on the tooth. Again, was told I would get a call back. I have not heard from them since. Its been almost a month. In the meantime I had enough, I made an appointment with Apline Dental where I am a patient and had an AMAZING experience for her. While they were upfront and let me know they did not have the tools needed to properly handle the situation, they were calling around to see where they could get her in to have the tooth extracted as it was still infected. They found another pediatric dentist that was willing to take her the following Monday and scheduled everything for me. I have made the statement that I have not heard from them, but my husband who was TDY in another state sure did. They were having an issue with our insurance that needed cleared up but didn't have the time of day to take care of my child. When he requested her record be sent over to Apline Dental, they said nothing and just emailed him the form to fill out and send back. Being the first time being seen by a pediatric-specific office... it was a huge disappointment.

She was absolutely insistent that we pay for our "missed" this number was in the hundreds, and as we all know NO ONE can really afford to pay HUNDREDS of dollars for "missed" appointments. I told her, I was in the hospital, which is why I couldn't make it to the appointments. I feel as though this is a pretty darn good excuse for missing a dental appointment, but the "office manager" told me, it's still my responsibility to cancel the appointment, well what if I was INCAPABLE of calling to cancel? After all no one PLANS to end up in the ER. Now, I wasn't actually incapable of calling to cancel, but it wasn't at all top of mind, I had bigger fish to fry, concerning my health care. She told me all balances needed to be paid, prior to seeing me for an abscessed tooth. Absurd, and shows how much she cares about their patients. Well unfortunately, this ONE bad apple really did spoil the whole bunch. Sorry guys, far too much competition in dentistry, for me to lower my standards. Thanks, but no thanks!

I was so happy I went to East Pershing Dental. I could not believe how well everything went. The staff are super and real personable. I was treated like someone very special. When Dr. Christopherson examined me, he asked several questions and tested the tooth in question. He then told me there is no cavity and the sensitivity could be from change of season, sinuses or many things. He told me he would just wait if he were me to see if it would settle down. If it didn't for me to call and they would get me in asap. He could have gone ahead and done the procedure and charged me from one to two thousand dollars. Thank you sir.

They also helped with insurance questions and reached out to find out what was available. They got the insurance to pay for Nitrous Oxide, to make sure my daughter was comfortable and calm during her visits. A root canal only took about 20 minutes and it was completely painless. Dr. C is very knowledgeable and understanding and works quickly and pro actively for his patients. I'm very impressed with this office.

We actually ended up visiting **two…read moredifferent BestMed locations**, and I was extremely impressed with how connected and organized everything was. Both locations already had access to my son's records and X-rays, knew exactly what had been going on with him, and we didn't have to start from scratch explaining everything all over again. At our most recent visit, in **less than 4 hours** they evaluated my son, took more detailed X-rays of his elbow, had a radiologist take a closer look, identified a joint effusion and possible fracture, and got him into a splint. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive throughout the entire process. A special thank you to **Britney and Jennifer**! They were both so sweet with my son and made a stressful situation so much easier for us. After struggling to get clear answers elsewhere, it was such a relief to have a team that took our concerns seriously, communicated with each other, and made sure our son was taken care of. We're extremely grateful for the care my son received and would absolutely recommend BestMed!

She could barely put weight on her left leg and specifically complained about tingling and her foot feeling cold, yet after only two X-rays she was told nothing was broken and was sent home to "take it easy." Thankfully, I encouraged her to go to CRMC for a second opinion because something clearly was not right. They performed more xraya and found a fracture under her kneecap that your clinic completely missed. What is most frustrating is that I called to voice my concerns, was given the office manager's number, left a message, and still have not received a call back. This situation could have become even worse if she had continued walking on an untreated fracture. I believe this situation deserves a serious review, and I would appreciate a response regarding how this was missed and why our concerns were dismissed.
