Granted, it was the "luxurious" one but it was $90! I honestly have gotten better pedicures at smaller nail places like the one in Settler's Ridge and off University Blvd. near Tropical Smoothie Cafe. For $90, I was looking for wars to an extended foot massage and massage chairs, both of which did not happen. You have to climb up onto the chairs and it's incredibly awkward. They do not have a lot of options when it comes to color, and not the usual OPI, Essie, etc. Overall, it gets 2 stars because my nail tech was nice enough, but not incredibly friendly. It smelled good and they had fun piano versions of pop songs playing. For $40 plus tip, it wasn't worth it. I won't be going back and will stick to the places I mentioned above!

I've also attended Spa Caladae for a spa day prior to a friends wedding for facials and massages and we left feeling so relaxed and pampered. I'm so glad I found a spa that uses Eminence products. I previously attended a spa in North Carolina that introduced me to Eminence. One I found out Spa Caladae uses these products, I was sold. But it's the staff, their quality work, and kindness that keeps me attending. I will absolutely be a long time Spa Caladae client.

As a first-timer to the world of facials, I walked into Skyn in Lawrenceville with a mix of…read morecuriosity and a healthy dose of "what exactly is a facial, anyway?" Enter Casey, owner and my guide on this journey to potential skin enlightenment. From the moment I settled onto the incredibly comfortable bed (seriously, I almost fell asleep before the facial even started), Casey exuded a calm professionalism that immediately put my "will-my-face-be-scrubbed-off?" anxieties at ease. She expertly navigated the initial consultation, asking all the right questions about my skin concerns, which, let's be honest, mostly revolved around "it just looks... tired." The facial itself was a delightful blur of soothing sensations. There were moments where I wasn't entirely sure what was being applied - but my skin seemed to be lapping it up. Casey's touch was both gentle and incredibly effective. It was like a highly skilled, incredibly polite, and utterly silent ninja perform tiny acts of purification on my pores. The best part? The immediate aftermath. I half-expected to look like a tomato, but instead, my skin had this... glow. a healthy, luminous radiance. I walked out feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and convinced that Casey might actually possess some form of dermatological wizardry. In conclusion, my first facial with Casey at Skyn was an absolute triumph. She transformed my "tired" skin into something that looked like it had finally caught up on about a year's worth of sleep. If you're looking for a quick, effective, and path to better skin, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Casey. Just be prepared to wonder if she's secretly a skincare superhero. It is a clean, beautiful salon and I've never had any bad experiences, apart from a barking dog during a facial. However, I won't be returning. I normally don't request an invoice be emailed to me. However, I did the last time I had a treatment and noticed on it that I was charged a 10% Covid-19 Surcharge. I did reply to the email and asked why this charge was on there as I was completely unaware. The owner wrote me back saying they would gladly refund the charge to my account (they did) and explained that the fee is disclosed and they also have a sign at the front desk (I missed this!). However, when I asked where it was disclosed, I found out it is buried in their FAQ section under Pricing: Due to increasing supply costs, a 10% surcharge of up to a maximum of $25 is added to all services. Had this surcharge been more transparent and included in the actual listing of their services along with pricing, I certainly wouldn't have booked an appointment knowing how much that would add to the service.
