The facility is spacious, well-maintained, and offers a wide range of equipment for all fitness levels. What really stands out, though, is the coaching staff. The coaches/ trainers are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely care about your progress. They are always friendly and quick to assist with any questions. Beginning with Archie's, "it would be an honor to assist with achieving your fitness and nutritional goals" persona; it trickles down to all of V Fit's staff. I've consistently participated in the CrossFit classes which are both fun and challenging. Lastly and most importantly is the incredible sense of community. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by friendly faces and people who genuinely care about each other's progress. The members here are supportive and motivating, and it feels more like a group of friends than a typical gym. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, everyone encourages each other, and the trainers make it a point to help you reach your goals without any judgment. The V hosts regular social events, from member challenges to weekend hikes, which help build connections outside of just working out. I've met so many great people here and it's easy to see why so many people keep coming back. Overall, I'm really happy with my membership and would highly recommend. To anyone looking a place not only to exercise but where you fell like you truly belong, The V is your place.

I am new to the area and was actively looking for a local gym to join. My father mentioned he had a…read morefamily pass at this location, so my younger brother and I went to try it out. We scanned his keycard at the front, genuinely believing it was valid. Almost immediately, an older, tall Caucasian gentleman (who appeared to be staff/management) approached us with hostility in front of the everyone in the gym. Instead of simply informing us that the pass was expired and explaining the gym's guest policy, he immediately escalated the situation by accusing us of theft and threatened us with trespassing and felony charges just for stepping inside and touching the equipment. I apologized profusely and tried to explain that it was a simple misunderstanding, but his aggression continued & was only able to de-escalate his belligerence by offering to purchase a membership right there on the spot, and I ultimately payed for 2 day passes. I completely understand that gyms need to enforce their membership policies, but treating future members like criminals over an honest mistake is entirely unacceptable. The lack of BASIC professionalism and customer service was BY FAR the most disrespectful & belittling way someone has treated me & my little brother. I will ABSOLUTELY contact higher ups to resolve this & will definitely be looking elsewhere for a gym

Once I found out, I was told the wrong information was given in order to cancel the account by their representative, but yet I was accused of lying. This is disgraceful. These gyms need customers they should not treat customers this way. Especially right now in America when it's very hard financially for everyone. Except Jeff Bezos.

I've never experienced anything like what happened at the LA Fitness in Austell yesterday…read more(11/10/2025). While I was using the Smith machine, another patron walked up, put his bag down, and when I told him I was using it and had two more sets left, he went and told a manager -- Omar. A few minutes later, Omar came all the way from the front of the gym to interrupt my workout and ask me how many sets I had left, apparently to "make sure everyone can use the equipment." What's strange is that there's another Smith machine right behind me that was also occupied, but Omar didn't ask that person anything. When I pointed that out, he said, "We don't have to do that." That made it clear he was only addressing me because someone complained. Then he told the other patron to "just hop on whenever she finishes her two sets." Not when I was done -- but specifically after two sets -- as if a manager can dictate when someone's allowed to use a machine they're already on. To me, that's completely unprofessional. Everyone in the gym pays the same monthly fee. If a machine is in use, you wait your turn -- that's basic gym etiquette. I don't expect special treatment, and I definitely don't expect a manager to interrupt my workout because someone didn't want to wait. If capacity is an issue, the gym should add more equipment. But targeting a member mid-workout to accommodate someone else isn't fair or respectful. The way Omar handled the situation showed a real lack of tact and impartiality. I've always believed gyms should be about mutual respect and shared space, but this experience really left a bad impression. Hopefully, LA Fitness takes this seriously and makes sure managers treat all members equally.

We signed up for a family acct. One our first visit, we used the pool. The lifeguard informed me…read morethat our children had to take a swim test is they either (1. wanted to swim without an adult/parent in the water with them) or (2. wanted to be allowed to swim outside the arms length of the parent/adult). I was in the water with my 8 & 11 year old children because I feel like it is the responsible thing to do when you take your children to a pool regardless of their swim capabilities. I allow my 11 year to attempt the test for fun. The lifeguard wanted them to swim the length of the pool which my children can do. However, the lifeguard would not pass my child because the swim stroke was not perfect. I have personally been a lifeguard, swim instructor, and swim team coach for over 20 years. My children know their strokes but I have not forced them to be on teams or swim long distance. Do I want them to, yes. But I have not forced it. My children have good strokes for more than half the pool distance but get tired toward the end and get sloppy but are not in danger. The strokes just don't look as nice as they did. Our children visit our neighborhood pool just about everyday in the summer and swim unassisted with no issues. It is winter and perhaps the kids are a little out of practice in the 4-5 months since it has been warm enough to attend the neighborhood pool but again, not in danger and swim fine. But not competitive swimmers. We were told that my daughter did not pass the test even though she could swim unassisted the length of the pool. So we just tried to enjoy our time in the pool and planned to try again another day. However, then the lifeguard reprimanded me multiple times because my 8 and 11 year old swimming children were outside of an arms length of distance from me. Again they swim on their own, and I am in the water with them if they need me. The swim test expectations are too high and I now understand why there were no other families there on a Saturday afternoon. The swim test expectations are too high and the lifeguards to strict on their arms length rule for families to enjoy this pool. Again, I have been a lifeguard, instructor, and swim coach for 20 years so I have a solid base of knowledge with which to make this assertion. I attempted to connect with YMCA on this via email. My email was forwarded to the Aquatics Director and I have not received any response. We are planning to cancel this membership as our children cannot go and enjoy the pool because the rules are too strict and I understand this industry better than most. With rules this strict, the lifeguard is really a waste of money as they basically don't allow children in the pool and only adults may swim. I would still love a response but If I do not get one, we will continue with cancelation. Good luck if you have children and planned to use this pool.
