My hair is curly but in an erratic way and requires a lot of coaxing to cooperate. I'm mixed and have had a hard time in the past finding stylists that knew how to cut my hair without leading to a total disaster (I once walked out a salon with my hair one inch shorter than the other side, and no I wasn't going for an asymmetrical look). I had finally found someone I loved a few years ago, and then of course I had to move away. I LOVE my hair shorter and took years to find the perfect cut to frame my face. I have had a lot of stylists that were hesitant to cut my hair as short as I was asking for or missed the mark as far as the shape of the cut was concerned. Nicole really listened. She looked at every picture, confirmed what I wanted, and even went back and cut more at my request. She was great from start to finish, had reasonable prices, and I will definitely go back to her in the future when I need a trim. Her styling was great, and she cut my side bangs perfectly, which is rare (I don't think even my last greatly loved stylist was able to do it in a way that it curls towards the back of my hair and blends in the way I like it to). The styling was included with the cut, which was really nice. I will have to see how the cut looks with my natural hair the next time I wash it, but I have no reason to doubt that it'll be just fine.

She has a fun flare to her style and will add a pop of color or edgy cut if interested! Ember and John are the owners and they are awesome and both cut, color and style. Jenny, Bev, and Siobhan are also great stylists and super friendly every time I'm there. The colors she uses are client specific, meaning she mixes colors to make a unique match for what each client is expecting. The brand of color she uses is so vibrant and rich, I've never found anyone in Florida that uses colors that I can compare to hers. My hair is extremely thick and wavy, so it is very time consuming for a hair dresser to do a proper blow out. The first time I went to Melanie, I almost left in tears because I have NEVER had someone actually take the time to do a full blow out before. For the first time, I actually left the salon feeling beautiful and confident, not wanting to rush home before anyone saw me to style my own hair. I used to work near Melanie's salon so it was convenient for me to go to her. When I started working and living nearly 50 minutes away from Just Fabulous, I tried a local salon recommended by many people in my area. It wasn't at all what I was used to by that point. I had to get back to Melanie ASAP! I will continue to make my drive out to her without complaint, she is 110% worth it. During my last visit, I actually sat next to a woman that traveled hours routinely to get her hair done by Melanie because she moved a few counties down south. If that doesn't prove her worth, I'm not sure what will!

My hair looked like it needed a haircut and a color (bad!). Melanie was kind enough to come in on her day off and on a moments notice! I knew I needed to color my hair but this kind and generous woman had already accommodated me by coming in on her day off. I was NOT going to ask for that additional labor. I was happy with the cut. But she she just couldn't let me go without having my color done. So what does she do? She canceled her appointment so that she could do my color! The atmosphere in the salon was very fun, we were laughing and joking throughout my entire time there. Very positive energy. I have short hair and the cut is very cute and the color has lasted. I have waited 30 days to make this review so that it would be honest and accurate. I will travel up to Lake Mary to have follow up cuts while I'm in this area working. I cannot thank Melanie enough for what she did for me. You won't go wrong getting a haircut here. And the price is a third of what I was paying in Austin, Texas and the Oakland County, Detroit, Michigan metro area. Highly highly recommend.

I paid over $400 for a balayage and haircut after a consultation where we agreed on a beige balayage and a trim with long layers. Instead, I left with hair that was orange, uneven in tone, and much shorter than expected. I specifically requested a trim and to maintain length with a U-shape. Not only did I lose significantly more length than expected, but when I returned for the correction appointment, my hair had to be recut because it was uneven. $125 for a haircut keep in mind. The color was never what we agreed on. I was left with obvious warm/orange pieces and was told we would need to lighten my hair again to get closer to the beige result that was discussed from the beginning. Even after the second lightening service, the result was still not what I asked for. I now have significant breakage in my bangs and front pieces that did not exist before this service. I had intentionally spent a long time growing my hair out and avoiding additional bleach, and now I'm dealing with damage that will take a long time to grow out. Months, even up to 12months! After I reached out with concerns and provided multiple photos, I received a voicemail indicating she was willing reimburse me. However, when I followed up, no refund was provided. Instead, I felt like my concerns were dismissed. At one point Patricia even suggested that my photos were not true. I ultimately had to seek a color correction elsewhere at additional cost and am now hundreds of dollars deeper into fixing a situation that should never have happened in the first place. The color correction alone was $275. Between the original service, corrective work, and the damage to my hair, this has been one of the most disappointing salon experiences I've ever had.
