I was planning to go with one of the 5 companies and thought I'll get one more quote from RX Sun since my friend referred them and I'm so glad I did. Noah made me an offer I couldn't refuse with a 30 yr parts and labor warranty and REC panels. He also presented me with an amazing 0% financing deal that you'll have to ask him about yourself. Noah was so knowledgeable and did not BS me like some of the other 5 companies I spoke with. He was able to explain the IL State credits better than the others. The IL credits can be quite confusing and the estimated credits the others gave me were all different so it was hard to know who to trust. The installation was scheduled and installed with no surprises. My 17 REC panels took 2 days to complete in Dec 2022 and they did a professional job. The company kept me updated on the permit process and the ComEd inspection along the way. They helped me file the IL State credits paperwork after the installation was completed and again, no surprises. My panels have been running for 3 months during the Winter, at the time of this review, and even with the Winter sun and shorter days the performance has exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go through a full Summer to accumulate some ComEd "credits" so I can stop paying ComEd for my energy usage going forward. I am a Construction Manager by profession so it was refreshing how professional this company was to deal with. I rate this company a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend RX Sun and Noah Rothschild, in particular.

So I probably asked a-lot more questions than the normal customer. Ultimately after reviewing multiple quotes and doing a-lot of research on my own of the proposed technology I chose RX Sun. I also chose RX Sun because they have their own in-house company to do the installations. I did not want to work with anyone who subcontracted the actual work. All the permitting and inspections were handled by RX Suns installer crew and I did not need to do anything. The installation went smoothly and they were very accommodating of my schedule for installation as my wife works nights and I could not have them on the roof during the day when she was trying to sleep. The install was very clean with no visible wire or conduit on the roof. This was a big concern because most of the systems in my neighborhood look terrible with a mess of conduit spaghetti running all over their roofs. Not my system, it looks great. Post installation there were a few configuration issues with some sensors but RX Sun and their installer crews were able to resolve them and follow up to make sure no other issues remained.

He didn't try to upsell me anything unnecessary as some other folks were trying to convince me to upgrade my existing 50amp breaker to a 60amp breaker. Pedro was great in communication and arrived at my house on time with a date that worked for the both of us. During the project, he ensured the charger was installed at the right height that would work for both me and my wife. I would definitely hire Pedro again in a heart beat.

He also diagnosed a flickering light issue we'd been dealing with. What stood out was how efficient and responsive he was, both prior to and during the project. He explained everything clearly and never pushed unnecessary work. He was thorough start to finish. He even did a full analysis of a complicated doorbell install project we're planning down the road. He suggested alternative solutions we hadn't considered and helped us determine the best plan for the work. Deceptive business practices!! A couple of years into solar…read morepanel ownership. Here's some things they don't tell you when they sell you a system for $25,000. Your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Whenever there is an issue with your system, you will get a notification that tells you there's an issue, but doesn't tell you what the issue is, that requires a technicians visits which is $180 I recently had a panel that is under performing, which, after a technicians visit deemed to be a manufacturers defect. So my kick ass warranty should cover this right? Wrong! The manufacturer will replace the panel, but I'll have to pay for shipping, which is approximately as much as a brand new panel would cost. Also, I have to pay for a technician to install the replacement panel. So when the sales person sells you peace of mind that the warranty will cover you - don't believe a word of it. I have long recommended solar panels to my friends. I have also long recommended not going near this chop shop enterprise. They are Temu version of what a solar company should be. Project management is a joke. See my earlier review for that debacle. Product support is an even bigger joke. I wish I could give zero stars.

My experience with Windfree Solar Company has been awful. Consider carefully reading the contract,…read morenoting if subcontractors would do the solar panel installation, if so, will Windfree cover losses, if applicable. In addition, make sure all the permit is pulled with your municipal, along with the correct schematics for the solar panels, both were an issue here. After speaking with Adam Perri, Director of Windfree Solar, I was told, due to the workers were subcontractors, the destruction of my personal outdoor equipment and garage was not Windfree problem. All the woes, leaves me with the savings from the schematics of 77% savings, panned out to 18%. Monitoring for the solar panels based on the information I was given was a country outside the U.S., with no option to opt out of 3rd party advertisement. No thank you! Value=NONE!
