    AlohaIslander girls after performance
    Sylvia R.

I contacted Donna (the owner/instructor) at the last minute on a Saturday for the following Saturday and she responded right away. Since it was so last minute, she said she needed to see if she had available girls and she'd get back to me. She contacted me right away saying she had three young girls which was exactly what i was looking for since it was for my daughters third birthday. The kids and adults had such a wonderful time watching the girls and participating in the audience participation. The girls were beyond adorable and did a fabulous job! Thank you for coming through at the last minute and showing everyone a wonderful time! I would definitly recommend the Aloha Islanders of Rancho Cucamonga. Oh and they were very reasonable! Much cheaper than other companies I had found online (that didn't get back to me).

I was entranced from the start to the finish. It ran at about two and a half hours I believe with a 20 minute intermission about 1 hour in to the show. We had seats fairly close to the front and had a good view from our vantage point. The performances were amazing. There was a silk dancer, rope dancers, tons of acrobatics, a guy with a nifty metal hoolahoop thing that he did several cool tricks with, jump rope acrobatics, etc. It was fantastic. I'd recommend this show to anyone.

I didn't understand what language was being spoken so I didn't know what was going on and assumed what was happening in the show and so was the rest of the class. It wasn't summarized or explained to us beforehand because our sub never watched it before either. So, we mostly assumed that this girl escaped being used to make the guy in the purple suit money and attention and was making them do inappropriate stuff and making money off of that, and in between scenes he shows off his different tricks and getting attention, and it made me agitated. But if I did know what was going on it would've been better because later that day I google searched it and it was completely different play than I had thought so I think this play is very unique and nice. I recommend if you are going to watch this play that you find out what it is about first. Lots of kids in my class were getting uncomfortable in some scenes, so I don't really recommend this for kids.

This is a school for performing arts not academics. Yes academics are provided but don't get mad if you want your baby to be a Dr or a scientist. Go somewhere else. It really is very unprofessional and inhumane for other parents or visitors to leave a one star review with rude and untrue reviews. That's actually pretty ghetto. Any child that graduates from the school has a very bright future ahead not only are they taught college knowledge they are taught hard work and perseverance. If you are a parent that does not discipline your kid this school is not for you if you are a parent that wants your child to know the value of what they are worth, what it takes to be the best, stamina, work ethic, life lessons, teamwork, then this is a great school for your baby.

This school is not a school. They should only teach music/dance as classes but not an establishment…read morethat students should spend the day in. The 2 stars that I gave this school were for the passion for music and some of the music teachers who are amazing. If my children could learn music all day, this school would be great. They put a great focus on their music and extra curricular activities but academics come last, If at all. The owner Professor Coleman tells you whatever you want to hear to get your money. Their curriculum is less than age appropriate with little to no assistance for the students or teachers with appropriate credentials. There is a very small teacher to student ratio and very little supervision. They allow students to go "off campus" without their parent's permission. Things that happen within the school amongst the students are sometimes shared with parents, but not always - especially if the parent in question will take their student out due to the lack of supervision. The academic, dance, music and theatrical teachers drop like flies around this place because they have passion and morals and cannot get down with this program. Mid-year when you realize he didn't apply your $500 deposit, he calls it a registration fee. He tries to charge you through August, but somehow prorated homeschool fees, so the homeschools don't find out. Then he holds a summer program and only fulfills a few of the summer fun activities. Additional they asked for parent chaperones without getting permission from the parents of the kids who are being driven. Nor did they verify the chaperone's drivers license or insurance information. During the summer program my 12 year old, 2 - 14 year olds , and a 13 year old were being driven by an 18 year old. The 13 year old gives my son a pill and told him it was candy. It was a sleeping pill. This building is old and run down and definitely not up to code. It's a beautiful, historical building but not safe for preschool - high school students. They allow adults (other parents) to come on campus during school hours to confront students of whom their students have beef with. After a performance, Professor Coleman is verbally abusive to his students by telling them that they are "pathetic", "he doesn't want them walking away thinking they did great" and has gotten involved and cancelled outside gigs for students when he wasn't involved. This summer, after the students amazing lemon fest vocal performance in 99 degree weather, with the sun in their faces, Professor Coleman told them "they're an embarrassment and they're making his school look bad because they didn't perform the way they should have." He goes on an on about how he has this high education but then turns around and develops curriculum for those who he believes are less than and that doesn't meet the A-G requirement because he doesn't have the staff to teach it. The other staff who works there are nice, but they're loyal to him and have his back. They won't hold him accountable or tell him that he should do better, when they know he's wrong. There is zero communication through the school, the promises that were made to the parents were broken and the professor is as petty and vindictive as they come. The only parents who will vouch for him are his favorites. Make sure to read the 16 reviews that are not recommended at the bottom. They are either from parents such as myself, or current/former students, staff and the favorites. I'm surprised this school is still around. If you take your chances on this school - best of luck. You've been warned.

And with my last visit to the 2023 Nutcracker show, it was nothing but splendid! The performance center itself is part of the Riverside Community College, so depending where you will park, you might get to walk around the campus. There also could be a flight of long stairs or just a flat walk towards the main entrance. Staff here are also really helpful and nice, and I'm sure they are the same for all the different shows they have here. Inside the auditorium, it reminds me of a large lecture hall: with those wooden, collapsable chairs...just felt like being in college again! Which was cool. The stage and its lighting system is amazing and the stage will be lit up just perfectly for any show. I really enjoy coming here and who knows, maybe I'll come back for another show!

The Theater is large with 1500 seats and a professional stage that I hear is about to get some major upgrades. It's obvious that a lot of effort has gone into making this storied stage something special. Simple concessions from a local club from campus were nice and just the right price. Tickets for into the woods was just $16.00 with a $5 discount for advanced purchase, an amazing bargain! Into The woods was fantastic, clever, and massively entertaining with a superb cast. The Sets and lighting crossed between professional and campy, just perfect for such a fun show.

I arrived about thirty-five minutes early as I wanted to make sure there was enough time to find parking, retrieve my tickets, and find my seat. It was also my first time visiting this theatre. Ive made my way to will call to pick up ticket. A lady came out with prepaid tickets; I gave her my last name and she found my ticket right away. I didn't get her name but she was personable and kind. She was also very funny as we laughed a bit before I walked away--there was a big crowd of people that formed a queue behind me. Making my way to the entrance; I handed the lady whom was collecting tickets my ticket and she was very kind. They have a concession area for snacks and beverages. The theatre doors weren't opened just yet as showtime wasn't until 7:29pm, but the doors opened promptly at 7pm. I found my seat H-16 center which was nice and close to stage. The clock struck 7:15pm and the seats starting to fill in more with bodies. The production started right away but before it did there was an announcement that cell phones and beepers (yes beepers) had to be turned off--for everyone to sit back and enjoy the show. The show began and immediately it took me back as I remember growing up when the musical was released. I somehow remembered a few of the words to some of songs and found myself lip singing along: "We're all in this together Once we know That we are We're all stars And we see that We're all in this together And it shows When we stand Hand in hand Make our dreams come true" We are all in this together so let's make the best of life! This was truly an amazing show and all the actors and actresses were phenomenal--keep in mind that this show in particular was put on by the youth. I would like to return for an adult production. Nevertheless, it was a nice trip down memory lane. As I was exiting the theatre I found myself chatting with some people including the manager who was such a darling. I do my very best to always be in good spirits and this definitely added to it by sprinkling positivity all around. I left the theatre still lip singing: "Together, together, together everyone Together, we're there for each other every time" (Disney's We're all in this together, high school musical) "Let's do what we love and do a lot of it!" -Marc Jacobs
